Chad you have worked hard and not given so far, so why stop now? Send someone by the place that has the heads and pick them up. Get some one else to do the work. So many people have followed this build it would be a shame for the story to end like this.

Protomotive has my heads. My heads were sent without the liners and Protomotive simply didn't start anything without the liners. I didn't realize S Car Go didn't send the liners (they were suppose to) until about two weeks ago. When I jumped on S Car Go they were sent, but Todd was leaving on a two week vacation.
I now have a new interest which isn't KA. Heck, I have been without her for well over three years. More than enough time to forget about the car.
I instructed S Car Go to assemble and install the motor whenever and when it is complete I will have it picked up and delivered to one of my warehouses. There will be no tuning, dyno or road tests. See won't even be fired up. I'll have the motor pickled. I am going to also have ERP simply ship to me the parts we have paid for. She is going into mothballs. I toyed with doing this about two years years ago. It's over this time and I am happier for it.

Chad, your car and project warrant been finish for no other reason than you deserve better. Please do not allow what appears to be poor customer service dictate whether you have your dream or not.
We both know who I am talking about here. I know you have talked to my "friend" on many occasions. He is one of the best engine engineers out there. Look at what he has done for you. Look at all of the companies out there who work with these engines. They sell third party parts typically. Many have had alot of really good press with what they have done. Some have done a very good job. But I cannot think of one company who has done as much as """ has, in such a short time. These same companies are now calling "" for the parts you had designed and made.
You have this person and his company at your feet. USE THEM!! 4 Valve water cooled engines are nothing new to them. They have been building these since the late 80's.
Please do not give up your dream because of the poor service of others. Demand your parts back and call """. He will take care of you and get the job done.
BTW, he built almost what you are doing for a Japanese company. I do not know the exact spec's but I am sure you have alot in common. I do know it was a 4.0L engine with all of their new engine internals fitted.
I thank you for sharing, and allowing us to watch your project build.

It is more than the o-ringing. The o-ring is simply the straw that broke the camel's back. It's really no big deal. I win some and lose some. From my point of view, I don't care for the 997tt and the 996tt is now an antique.

So what is the new project that you have in mind.
And like Oak said, I hate that we will not get to see what this car is capable of but I am really sorry for you that you have put so much in this car and have been let down.

I too have been following this build, since joining 6speed. I really do hope you change your mind Chad. Seems that you would bring the 996TT platform to new heights, and give hopefuls like me still more to look forward to in possibly owning a 996TT in the future.
A shame to hear, and I will once more voice my hope for your reconsideration.
On a side note: Do we get to hear about the new project?

I really hope that you'll have a change of heart. I've spent nearly five years following KA's build and seen your dogged determination and tenacity too see this project through to the end. So it all goes to the Mothballs now when the end is nearly in sight? Somehow I don't think that you can just end it on this sour note, at least I don't wish you do.
Best of luck in your future project.
Best of luck in your future project.
Chad;
Please finish this project I am following it more then the Bonds HR chase and I am a big Baseball fan.
I do hope you get to finish it, I could just imagine the pride you will have when you make the first drive,

Don't give it up
