wheel damage

Hello guys,
the other I bought a set of wheels carrera classic.. so today when I opened the packages , the seller didn't packed the wheels good, he just put it on the box, one wheel was damaged on one edge, maybe like an inch on the lip, looks like the paint and clear coat came off and also its bent, do you guys think that this can be fixed by one of those mobile wheel repair guys

I think so, the paint and the clear coat should not be a problem but the wheel with the front that is damaged has aluminum peeling up...That is warranty time... gl

I called my sales guy at the dealer, he told me they have a guy there that only fix wheels, but I am assuming they charge a lot for the repair... tomorrow I'll stop by to get a quote.

repairs are never as good as the original.

I had issues with a UPS shipment- seller didn't package the wheels according to UPS standards. In the future, I will make the seller (1) insure the shipment, (2) agree that he will pack the wheels to UPS standards, (3) if not he is responsible and, most importantly, (4) fund the purchase with an AMEX card.

Damage was remarkable similar to yours- the wheel was in a double cardboard box, but did not have the "minimum packing material" that UPS specifies.

UPS denied the claim.

Seller says "Hey it wasn't my fault, UPS damaged it and now they won't pay you"

I said "AMEX, please reverse this charge to PayPal, items were inadequately packed by seller and damaged in transit"

Paypal squaked

AMEX reversed the charge (So I was made whole), but wanted the wheel back.

I said fine, send me a shipper or airbill and let me know where to send it.

Nobody wanted to pay for shipping- not AMEX, not the seller, not paypal...

Wheel is in my barn.
