Anyone knows the cause tire to do this ???

it hapenned when i was on the freeway , with ambient temp of 32 degrees ... travelling 260kmh ( approx 161 mph )

i heard a loud noise from left rear tires , but kept going only bout few hours later i realised the thread has chipped off!

theres approx 5000miles on the tires and its 1 year old tires , tire pressure is checked every fortnight , no problem there

i could have died!!!

Assuming the tire is RATED for that speed and for your car ( and is N- rated if it is a Porsche), you should contact the MFG and / or the company that sold the tire to you. It could be a "bad" tire. I also can not help but noticing that your rim and shoulder of the tire is not looking too good... You may have hit something. Check for other damage. Keep us posted.

Is it 32 C or F? Much different. I assume 32C because your location in Singapore.
What kind of tire and what car?
How long were you driving for the 161 mpg speed?
Did you hear noise before the high speed run?
What kind of noise?

Try to have more detail/info.

Has to be 32 C. The tropical countries does not drop into that temperature range (32 F).

OP, I suggest that you contact the company that sold the tire to you.

I saw that too -- in fact, the wheel looks like it's got some marks right around that area too (could be curb rash from before?). A lot of bad stuff can happen at 161 mph if you hit something on the road.

They got way too hot, several times, and de-laminated because of it. See how shiny the rubber is? Perfect proof they have been allowed to get too warm.

Exactly what area are you referring to regarding the shiny rubber?

Candidly, that isn't some mild curb rash, and not appearing to be at a specific spot. That rim is worked!
Purely conjecture, but I'm guessing the luck on your driving days simply ran out, and you were fortunate to not be in much worse shape.
As to a glossing of the tire, how can you tell it's not water or tire treatment? Not sure with one photo, or what's been shared. Do tell.

you are a dumb *** for going 160 mph on public roads, in SG never the less. if you crash some day, i hope you don't take another life with you.

think about what your life is worth. take your ego and your driving to the track.
