REUS SST sound system help

Guys,

Does anyone have a Reus SST sound system they are familiar with? For some reason, when they did the car, they have the front speakers powered fine, but then for the rear, they don't have anything powering the rear speakers (no sound) and when you fadar to the rear, you can hear that the power is actually routed to the sub up in the trunk well.
I pulled off the trunk covers and saw that there are 3 electronic devices down there.

Looks like most wires are going into this silver Alpine component (have the preouts for sub/rear/front) and from there, I see that you have a +/- going into this small black amp looking thing (apparently for subwoofer) and this other +/- going into another black amp looking thing (identical unit) for front speakers.

It looks like they didn't connect for the rear...but yet, included on the harnesses, is a +/- wire (has both ends) which lead to no where.

I tried to connect one end into the Alpine unit, and then plug into the black boxes, but nothing works.

Any advise? Does Reus just not setup a car to use rear speakers?

Thanks!

Yeah, I mean, the sound seems fine, but it just "seems" weird to me when I know nothing is coming from the rear, and all from the front

It's called 'Front Stage', it's setup like you're at a concert where NONE of the sound comes from behind you, it's the new thing in high-end car audio, everyone is doing it.

Never thought of it that way...

But a quick search online did suggest that systems focused up front, sound more "realistic"...

Personally, I'd feel like I'd hear a bit more bass if I had my rear speakers active as well...

Thanks Jason, I'll give them a call and see what they say.

I tried the numbers on their site but none worked.

bsquared is infamous around these parts
That is pretty customary on a high end system. If there are any rear speakers or sound, it is for rear fill only, and much more faint. It promotes the sound stage coming from the front. I researched and met with several high end system installers and they all recommended the same thing.

Update:
I talked to Rich @ Reus about the system and he stated that the system was designed that the rear would only bring in some "fill" and if I listened, I should hear music back there.

Now, I have a roll cage which is why I never made the extra effort, but upon throwing my head back there, I could indeed hear music...but a low db level. I guess the system I have was built similiar to a home threater setup.

Thanks for everyone's input! At least I know something is going on back there now!

Reus Audio

What is your experience with Reus Audio?

I ordered a system for my 997 GT3 three years ago, but still have not received a system. I have called over 20 times to receive my $1000 deposit back, but Rick Reus just gives me a run around and doesn't return my money.
