Alternator / Generator Replacement.

Shouldn't be that bad. With the y-Pipe removed and belt removed, you can reach most everything. I do think there is a pretty good writeup posted online somewhere that I saw once. If you wanted, you could lower the rear motor mounts a couple inches to give a little more clearance, but probably not needed.
Edit: heres a decent DIY

There is a diy on 6speed!!!:https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...e-replace.html ..Sorry just saw the link in the previous post …I'm getting old ;-) Sorry mbgt72!
But many many many many (did I say many) times the regulator is at fault and is cheaper to replace….Here's a link to replace the regulator….http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...placement.html

Its not too bad, I recently had to replace mine with minimal tools, at someone else's house, when it crapped out the night before a week long roadtrip, not a great way to start! Just make sure you have a crowbar or something good to pry with, makes it 10x easier.
