Early-2000s Lamborghini Murcielago with gated six-speed manual transmission hits Bring A Trailer with a surprising amount of miles.

The cost of the gorgeous and iconic Lamborghini Murcielago has been steadily on the rise. It’s easy to see why, too. With iconic styling that has aged like fine wine and the opportunity to manually row six gears through a legendary clicking shifter gate, it’s virtually impossible to dislike these beauties. Couple that with a world-class all-wheel-drive system and a screaming V12 right behind your head, and you’ve got a little slice of heaven on your hands. However, the Murcielago is finding its way into the collectors market without a doubt. So, enthusiasts who just want to drive will find it harder and harder to get a good deal. However, this one may very well be an excellent opportunity to score one at a reasonably modest price.

This 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer. At the time of writing, it has a week left with a current high bid of $175,000. It’s finished in Grigio Antares, and it’s in pretty great shape overall. However, we believe this makes a great driver’s car is the mileage. This Murcielago has 25,000 miles on it, and that’s quite a lot for a Lamborghini!

Squeaky Clean Carfax Report with Plenty of Maintenence History

While the mileage may scare many buyers off because of the impending cost of repairs, it’s equally appealing to others. This may make this particular example of a Murcielago affordable for folks who otherwise couldn’t justify it. Though, based on the current $175,000 bid, we’re not sure “affordable” is the correct word here. Still, at least one Murcielago has made its way to over 250,000 miles.

As this is an earlier Murcielago, it uses a 6.2-liter V12 with a more-than-enough power output of 571 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Power makes its way through a six-speed transmission to all four wheels. This combination is good for a sub-four-second zero to 60 mile per hour sprint and a bone stock quarter-mile time in the 11s. Of course, it will gladly hold its own in the corners, too.

The Carfax report shows that this brutal bull has had four owners over its 18 years. The most recent of which purchased it in 2011 and has had in ever since. The report also shows plenty of maintenance records and services over the years.

With Today’s Market, It’s Hard to Estimate A Price Point for This Murcielago

With all valuation tools lagging behind a bit, it’s hard to put a price on this thing. Hagerty currently lists the average price of a Murcielago at $151,000. Obviously, that’s going to be a bit short, considering this auction has already well surpassed that number.

The most recent Bring A Trailer Murcielago sale was a similar-spec 2003 model with all black interior and just 8,000 miles. It sold for $344,000 in late December 2021. So, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this higher mileage example scrape the $250,000 mark. If you’ve got the capital to get into a Murcielago, this might be your last chance to get one at a somewhat reasonable price!
