Removing Window Tint

Is it possible to remove tint from window.

Thank you, can it be done without harming the glass.

Yes. You can also take it to a tint place and they will remove it. The challenge is getting the tint residue off. Kind of a PIA. Be careful around any antenna and defroster lines on the glass.

spray window cleaner on the film to be remove. Cover it with a blk plastic trash bad and leave it in the sun for a few hours. the film should pill off after that. Then take a razor blade and take off the glue. Seen it done by the shop the took off my tint. Look like a PIA.

I have been looking for a older 930 Turbo, some of the cars I have found have tinted windows, just wanted to make sure it could be removed without harming the glass.

My car failed inspection for tinted windows... I just peeled it off and used glass cleaner and a razor scraper to take out the residue... no issues!

use light solven of anything that car break the glue. with razor blade u should be ok.

I had tint removed by a pro. He used lots of soapy water out of a spray bottle with razor blades. It was not an easy job. He spent quite alot of time. The result was excellent.

I had a tint shop remove mine. He used a steamer and it peeled right off.

tint remover

Alcohol works, too for breaking down the adhesive. If that doesn't work fast enuff, it is also good for drinking and you won't notice the glue.

+1 pro tint shop will use a steamer for quick removal. Mine charged $99 for 335 sedan.
