Front Spoiler Warning

I wish there was a better system inside the car to show the status of the front spoiler. At times I keep forgetting I have it lowered and it ends up scraping the road. Anyone else have the same experience.

Why not let the car deploy/retract when needed which would eliminate the scraping. I'm sure you like the look but I think I would keep it on auto. Car looks awesome!!

Nice touch on the red. What paint did you use to keep it from cracking?

You have to use an oil based paint. Duramax was the brand, I believe. Home Depot.

I agree, it's a nice touch. Good thing the Turbo is too expensive for me as I love the car.

I've started manually controlling mine more lately, when hitting on/off ramps and for a bit more downforce when it's raining, but I usually go back to auto mode when I'm city driving. You can actually feel the difference when you deploy it at higher speeds, it's impressive.

I usually leave it in automatic mode, except when there are some kids behind me in traffic, and they are obviously gawking at the car. So I extend the rear spoiler and they go nuts.

How much is the overhang gap to the ground with the spoiler deployed? It looks so much better when deployed and the car is standing still.

It looks like the clearance is 4-3/8". I did slide over a poured concrete curb with the spoiler up and the front lifted a bit. The painted bits didn't get scraped since the rubber took the hit with no visible damage to that either. I should rig up no-go to see if it will clear a 6" precast curb stop.

If you did springs to lose the wheel gap on the TT's, you could never lower the
front spoiler w/o wondering when you were going to destroy it.....
