Reasonable offer barely used 2015 TTS?
Reasonable offer barely used 2015 TTS?
Okay, thanks to this forum I have a pretty good idea what to offer should the right new/leftover 2014 or used 2014 TTS come along. Problem is, I found a barely used 2015 TTS with less than 1000 miles. Warranty punched 8/14, MSRP 194K. Asking about 190K used. I figured purchased new, you drop plus or minus 7% from MSRP? Trading in I figure you lose another 7-15%? So for the dealer to make money on it I am guessing they need to sell at lowest 155K. Thinking maybe to start at that 155 point, end up at 165K? Any thoughts or input? Don't want to leave any money on the table of course. All input appreciated.
Seriously guys, Porsche sales in the US are at an all time high, spring is around the corner. Porsche is placing a certified warranty on this vehicle which is better now than a brand new vehicle warranty! The car will disappear soon because a lot of customers don't have time to dicker back & forth b/c they're too busy earning big $ with other endeavours. I'd be surprised if this car sells for anything less than 10K below MSRP because of the demand & current model year. Last year our local dealer sold twice as many cars as the previous year, & not many were discounted much below MSRP.

Look at this new 2014 991 TTS that the dealer has up for $172,900 where the sticker was $190K. This one can probably be had for $165K.

Moreover, two Porsche dealers in New Jersey offered me 7% off MSRP on a brand new custom ordered 991 TTS if I wanted to build one.

I know the car you are referring, its now 179K. As you know from researching, there are a many new 991 TT's out there, and many used 14's and 15's. These cars don't sell quickly, especially in winter. I would try speaking with previous owner and have car PPI'ed, even with <1k miles. To me, 15K off MSRP for a slightly used, perhaps unknown car, is not enough, unless is a perfect car for you with specific color and specs, if ordered new.

Right on the money. Your best deal is likely to be in a state that has a real winter.

Do not pay anywhere near 180 for this car.
