FVD Brombacher Exhaust

I just picked up a 2015 TTS Cab.

I want to do the GIAC Stage II tune and looking at the FVD Brombacher sport exhaust with 200 cell cats.

I'd definitely like something a little louder than stock, but I don't want to go too loud and obnoxious.

anybody in the ATL area have this exhaust?

I'd really like to be able to hear it in person before I pull the trigger.

Congrats very nice, love the wheels! It will be hard to find because the cars are so new still. If I can help in anyway give me a buzz. I might be able to give you some good options that have back up plans and help you with tuning as well.

Unfortunately I am not in Atlanta, but here is a video of mine. Before I added headers, IPD Plenunm and the FVD tune.

Here it is after adding the other components. This video includes drive bys. IMO you have to do the headers and Plenum too. The headers are $1850 and the Plenum is $950 with labor running about $500 for both. Then you will get the most out of your tune. I went with the FVD piggyback because no one in Austin does GIAC.

thanks for the videos.

my main concern is more how it sounds in the car.

stock it sounds and feels constricted and limited. the same way my CTT was before I opened it up with the secondary cat bypass pipes. adding those didn't really make it that much louder, just more throaty and guttural sounding and more open feeling.

that's really what I'm looking to achieve with the TTS.

I have a CTTS with stock exhaust and you can't hear it in the car but you can hear the car pull up if you are in the house or down the street. I had a M5 and they pipe the sound in there because the stock exhaust can't be heard in the car. On that one I added the Dinan Freeflow and still didn't get enough sound in the cabin so I added Noelle downpipes with high flow cats and that helped a good bit.

When I bought this car, it had 3k on it with the exhaust already on it along with a 9500ci and clear bra on front and back. I got a great deal on the car but I think maybe the exhaust scared some people because it's fairly aggressive, the car is loud and you can hear it inside the cabin but no drone at all. With the headers the car is even louder and I like it that way, it does get noticed and turn heads.

I have a full FVD Exhaust setup.

Headers/Catalyzer/Muffler/BMC Filter, FVD software module and an IPD Plenum.

Cabin noise was very minimal, normal driving in comfort you can barely, barely hear it. You definitely do hear it when you push. You will never have to raise your voice to have a conversation and it's not loud enough on the outside to make you cover your ears.

However I wanted a bit of flames so I went ahead and replaced the catalyzer with an FVD straight pipe. Now it's only a bit louder and you can still have a normal convo in the car it's just there's a bit more noise overall, and a lot more flames!

Definitely do not regret the order I placed, and definitely wouldn't go back to 200cells as I love the flames!

Similar to my setup but without the cat even more aggressive.

You are talking with the windows rolled up? I can always hear it even without sport on. I use the paddle shifters so I always make the revs to 5k before shifting if I can. I have to roll the windows up and turn the AC on if I don't want to hear it.

I have to keep the cats for emission rules or my car won't pass inspection but this sounds like a nice mod.

Yeah, windows rolled up.

Windows down you hear it eitherway it's actually enjoyful, I tend to roll down the windows about 1cm each just to listen to it pop and sing.

Luckily here in the Middle East the CO2 sensors are disabled I think, we removed the sensors before we ordered the straight pipe first to see if we get Check Engine Light and there was nothing, with or without CO2 sensors, soo.. I immediatly put a place on a Straight Pipe. Love it, every second of it.

I'm thinking of changing the software module tho, into something more aggressive, faster. Not sure which to go for. Kind of wanna know how GIAC Stage 2 performs.

Yes, I think GIAC stage 2 is more aggressive than the FVD tuning module. However, I haven't checked with them to see if they have a software update. If they do, it might be more in line with GIAC stage 2 and shouldn't be any extra cost I don't think.

I put the AC on max and drive with the windows down.

I decided to go ahead with the 200 cell cats and sport exhaust so that I can do the GIAC stage 2.

Thanks for all the info. After driving in comfort mode yesterday, it could be significantly louder and I'd actually like it much better. It's eerily quiet in stock comfort mode.

And if I'm really pushing it in sport plus with the top down, I'm going to be outside of things and generally by myself and more sound is going to be nice as well.

So that's my logic and I'm sticking to it!
