Thought it would be interesting to get your opinions on this post in the 991 section. I posted my opinion.

 

I have raced a stock GTS when I was stock on my TTS ,, the performance is not even at all

GTS is as fast as 997.1 GT3 or maybe slower

Yeah opinions are strong with this one. I see the sides of appreciating each and every model for sure. But as far as speed it's no contest. He needs a proper ride. Especially in a tuned car!

 

So to clarify, you like the GTS in almost every way, but you prefer the turbo in the end?

 

Yes. The 991 NA platform is special. But I'm a power junkie and the torque was light for me. My TT has lots of goodies (think TTS) and drives great. The only complaint is that it's too good (if that makes sense).

Turbo because...

 

Ya sure...GTS feels as quick as a TT...and my lawnmower does a 1/4 mile in 10 seconds too.

 

I test drove a GTS, it felt quick and Raw. I would compare it to a BMW M4 for example and would certainly say it is much faster. I would say it is much more stable and faster than a Corvette C7...
When you start comparing it to a monster with 110 HP and a crap load more torque and grip! you need to go and drive both for a little bit and no need for the track, you will answer yourself.

 

I personally owned a 2015 GTS, prior to upgrading to the TT. The GTS is an outstanding car, with a great exhaust note. Unfortunately, there is no comparison in terms of acceleration.
The Turbo will destroy it!

 

The BMW M4 weighs 3500lbs and has 425hp, 991 GTS weights 3600lbs and has 430hp, the 991 is not much faster. Same with the Corvette at 3300lbs and 460hp (with z51), same deal. I Understand that this is a 991 forum but physics still rule.
