991.2 Turbo S Kline exhaust and headers SamboTT@ByDesign happy customer

Hi everyone. I bought a 17 911 Turbo S. I contacted SamboTT@ByDesign and got a BMC Air filter, Kline exhaust (loud) and headers ( Stainless Steel)

I am extremely happy with the results. I was looking for an exhaust system that did not drone, was quite for making phone calls when driving normal but can scream when you floor the throttle and this system did just that! Jekyll and hyde is a great description!

Socal Cobb did the installation in a timely manner. I was able to dyno the car before and after but don't have a tune yet.

Take a look at run 2 stock vs run 2 after the exhaust/header upgrade. Seems like when the stock car is heated it loses a lot of performance.

Excited to get some IPD products and a Cobb tune next.
Sorry no pictures or video you but should update that soon.

very nice. and and from what i understand on a nice spring day, a tune, exhaust only car can lose upwards of 60 whp at the end of a 1/4 mile run.

Thanks for the kind words and the opportunity HD! I was really excited to do this before tuning because I know lots of people would like to see how much power the .2 makes on our development dyno compared to everything we have done with the .1 as well as what a good complete exhaust system can do for you. There was no driving or adapting done at all in this comparison guys. Just two runs in the morning when it was Stock and two runs the next morning after the By Design/Kline Innivation system was installed. With the HJS motorsport 100cel cats, 70mm exhaust to our spec and the Kline equal length manifolds we have a really good grip on thermal management and efficiency. You can see pretty decent gaines on the first runs but when things heat up the efficiency really shines. No losses in torque or early delivery in fact quite the opposite. Imagine on a Decat system! And don't forget the sound!!!

Special thanks to Cobb and the guys at Cobb SoCal and ofcourse my boys at Kline! Can't wait to see what this car does with tuning very soon!

Any CEL issues with the 100 cel cats? Will the ecu reduce torque and hp over time back to factory values? I've heard the Porsche ECU does that with factory programming after bolt ons are applied. Will race fuel allow for more consistent power with the factory tune due to cooler combustion temps?

The Kline systems are modular so you can switch between any configuration you want and we can accommodate whatever you need. No CEL with the 100's! There is also cat bypass and 200cel HJS available.

The car does control limits so you may not get full benefit from full bolt ons. But things that increase efficiency will always improve the way the car runs as you can see. Some people do it simply to make the car sound better and this is just an added benefit if you want strictly looking for more performance. The same goes for fuel. Better feel will make the car run happier within its limits. Cars in regions with 93 octane run better than cars in regions with 91. The limits have some thresholds so there's always a little room. Of course the ultimate game comes from performance calibration.

Videos coming from several sources soon on the .2 cars!

Glad you love your new setup! Great work to the team. Kline 991 Turbo system is becoming a statement and we thank you all for that

Setups are modular and Sam the man has all versions in stock ready to go.

I'll have something pretty soon. I'm way too OCD about the mics and all the recording, so I'm waiting for a new Fat Gecko mount to attach my audio recorder to the rear bumper area.

Once I have that in a few days, I'll post the "before" prior to my header install, recording, and analysis.

Sweet! As usual, we are following the same path (though I don't get the ML-instead-of-an-E-wagon-thing ).

I've got a bunch of sound recording and analysis to do before I swap 'em, so thats on my plate for this weekend.

Such a rough life. (knocking on wood)

logging with cobb produces suprisingly close to accurate 60-130 times. just grab the difference between the timestamps at 60 and 130mph, close within .3 or less for me vs vbox
