There were multiple races vs the P100D. One race the Demon was quicker, the next the P100D was quicker.
Dodge claims 9.65@140 and 0-60 in low 2's. That's the issue.
If you care to see what a street car capable of 9.65 / low 2's looks like compared to a P100D look no further than this slaughter:
Oh you have a modded 911 TT? I didn't know that!
Not sure if you're familiar with quarter mile drag racing and timeslips but the Demon ran a 10.41 and 10.35, both times quicker than the Tesla. With the driver's reaction time, I also question if he even used the transbrake effectively.

Yes i have a modded TT like most people here don't u ?
You obviously have some kind of bone to pick with me. And I think you are hard headed and aren't listening to my point so I'll just leave this last point that I will put up my 991 Turbo S which in street tires should put up slightly slower numbers as Dodge is claiming for the Demon. Soon they will show up to our SoCal race events, and I will race one. Not against a magazine editor but an actual owner. And I will get it on video and I will post it here so you to see. You seem convinced the Demon will do what Dodge says, and this time it will be in the hands of owners. Care to place a wager on the outcome?
Usually I will not race anything other that the heavily modded GTRs, 911 Turbos, 918's TT AWD Lambos and bikes because racing other cars is pointless, particular any RWD cars. They have no chance.
Here's a last event attended by my now sold 997.2 Turbo S which puts up similar numbers as my 991 Turbo S. The 997.2 made 600 wheel and my 991 makes 650 but is heavier.
Old post but why are you getting so worked up over an $80k car that has delivered as promised? Your overarching theme is that a $200 k car is slightly faster and therefore the $80k car is junk.
The bottom line is that the Demon is a tremendous value and remember this performance comes with a warranty. Most street car roll on races are not from a stop, they are usually 2 cars rolling from 60 mph or so.
A Demon with a 100 shot will make a very competitive car for your typical roll on race, unless you live here in Houston. Here in Houston your $200 k Porsche even with mods will get smoked.
600 whp is nothing to brag about. Nice car, but nothing special. Here is Texas you can't even participate in airfield events if you make less than 1000 whp.

If u read the thread, it's not about the car but Dodge marketing department doing one incredible run and then publishing statistics that haven't been able to be replicated.
It's a cool car. Quickest production car on the planet? lol.
I'd like your opinion on upgrading my new (to me) 997.1 6 speed Turbo to a conservative 575-600HP tune.
I already have FVD 200 cel cat exhaust installed.
I have some of each, the hellcat has 842 at the wheels, the Z06 close to that, but the little white car kicks all their a$$es, it all comes down to traction, you just can't beat all wheel drive
I thought it's a worthy chat. A master at the drag strip gets trounced by another vehicle who's an expert in all fields in the comfort of air cooled seats and Burmester audio. This was from yesterday. Saw a fellow gear head in the area taking pictures too...

Is there a drag strip now on Oahu? Back when I lived there our only circuits track was shut down that was like 13 years ago.
The only drag strip i know of is the long stretch of road in front of Sandy beach... So officially none, LOL. There's a lot of guys including myself with retardedly high horsepower for a tiny island and no track. Since we used to have a track, those who are my age or older seem to still have a lead foot from going there every single weekend. The newer generation of car guys here seem to only want looks rather than performance.
