Demon LMAO
It's exactly what a guy who goes to the track on Wednesday night or the weekend does. Prep the best they can. They set the fans on their cars to help cool it down, ice the intake, etc. And the Demon makes it easier with the after chiller.
And every "fast list" for the quarter mile is owners doing everything they can to get the best possible time and usually at East coast tracks. Whether the C6 or C7Z's, Camaros, Mustangs, Hellcats, GTOs, etc. etc. Dodge simply did it themselves.

That being said I mentioned in my post last week or so what was the mph and I think someone said it was 130 now that is a world of difference from 140. which is way more than a few pounds up front and down 50hp. I would expect a 135mph easy.
Your language and attitude is objectionable. Why would I wager on an individual event with unknown people, conditions and something I have no control over? Even that challenge is silly. I recognize the variables of launching a front engine, RWD car vs. a clear consistency advantage of an AWD, rear engine, PDK car. That doesn't make the Demon inferior, it makes it less expensive and more skill in the prep and launch.
You think RWD is a disqualifier? Why don't you race against the Pro-Mods at NHRA and IHRA events if you do so well against RWD cars? I bet they have a chance....
When conditions and prep is good, and the owner experienced, yep, it will do what Dodge claims. No matter what, I look forward to any Demon videos.

The irony that Deuce posts...telling me my language an attitude is objectionable (yet nothing to support that accusation) and then he just posts a derogatory toward me.
There is one person who is very defensive here and we all know who it is as he is doing his best to reply to most posts here.
I on the other hand, am I'm going to do exactly what I said earlier...and that is ask Demon owners to race on the airstrip with my 991 Turbo S making less power (mine put up 616 wheel HP on the dyno) and video it for all to see, to determine if Dodge's marketing hype can be backed up. If it can, then a 140 trap quarter mile car with 0-60 in 2.3 seconds should at least have me beat by the halfway mark.
Airstrip season coming up shortly and have dates for Shift Sector and NoFlyZone. I'm looking forward to this.

I wouldn't bet on any Demons making it to shift sector, I can also tell you that my 530whp camaro whopped up on 2 hellcat it raced last shift sector it trapped 148mph 15 times, so they are not all that fast in the 1/2 mile either.

Regardless of our differences in opinions, have fun and be safe.

Your attitude is objectionable by wrongfully calling out Dodge for their achievement. Are your feelings hurt by what I wrote or by Dodge's marketing department and test drivers? It's hard to tell at this point. Why don't you put the challenge out at a dragstrip? Btw, no Demons have been delivered yet. Does the airstrip event allow drag radials or slicks? Any surface prep? What will the DA be? Back to naming the conditions that only benefit you again.

How is my attitude objectionable when yet another video is posted by an independent source with a 130mph trap? Yes I'm calling out Dodge's marketing dept and have further support to my claim. Thanks for the new post BoostedTTS!
Yes the airstrip event allows DRs and slicks. Most cars run these tires because they are trailered in. Yes the airstrip events are prepped with a sweeper. I will be on street tires driving to and from the event on near stock tire pressure and pump 91 gas. So how does that benefit only me??

I pointed out the difference in DA, weight and power have a severe effect on trap speed, didn't you see that part?
Hi Deuuuce,
It's on the tires they claimed the 9 seconds (1:30 min into the video), regarding the fuel...the videos show a dedicated track day for the Demon's, doubt they did not use race fuel and that the track was not prepped properly to "try" accomplish what Dodge did.

Manuel

Temps in the 90s and high humidity and they ran low 10s all afternoon. Enough said right there.
The 9.65 was ideal conditions, slicks and skinnys. The video shows both the stock 315 DRs and skinnys. The other media event was a dedicated track day and there was no mention by any journalist of using or even having the option the race gas selection nor was there in this video.

What cracks me up is here is a car 200lbs lighter, systems and tires specifically designed for a harder launch and cooler IATs, and 101 hp more than a Hellcat, and you guys are doubting low 10s while the stock Hellcat does low 11s on stock tires and high 10s on DRs only.
Hilarious.
