This is what I was wondering. So each company has their own design (compressor/turbine wheel) to their suit. So when you guys are mentioning the 68 vs 71mm wheel is this the inducer of the compressor wheel?

At the end of the day, you can have the best hardware in the world. You still need to have a chef that gets you the best results. That's what you need to research.

Awesome. You tune your car yourself or had it tuned by someone and got it pushed?

Agreed, hardware is the easy part to make. I have fabricator ready to make whatever is needed, but without tuning it can only go so far.

Champion also have a similar set up via TiAL. They are CNC machined, clipped and rebuild/balanced to spec and are quite proven/reliable. In this case with the TiAL/Xona Alpha HTZ compressor wheels. We love that there are over 1000 such BV-50 based VTG upgrades out there between a few of us on 997 and 991 cars and they really move some air. I believe there are others that are a little less expensive and also some that are more. Some larger as well so you definitely have options. None are a simple re-wheel like the standard stuff if done correctly. We have some holiday specials and units on the shelf if you are interested and we stand behind our stuff 100% for lifetime! Or if I can help with any questions feel welcome to ask.
I have been running the Champion/Tial 68MM VTG turbo upgrade for two years and probably 12,000 miles. Multiple car rallies, half mile runs etc. Absolutely no issues so far.

SSinc is an unknown quantity at this point
I may have a set of bydesign headers and bydesign vtg's for sale shortly. Less than a 1000 miles. They're awesome to say the least, just going with a bigger conventional turbo.

What turbo if you don't mind me asking? What will you be using for boost control in that case?

I would stick to the 68VTG's these are proven again and again. Also, if I am not mistaken the true half 1/2 mile record on a non-built engine, stock PDK and 68 VTG's is still held by By Design. Emre, I'll be waiting for you guys in Naples

Regards,

Manuel

Is this the car that was doing about 171-172 mph in Ocala, FL. Wanna GO Fast? When Dave was going about one or 2 mph faster than him with the 71 mm? Just wondering what they did that I picked up that much?

Never seen a 68MM VTG fail, but 71MM VTGs sure make a great smoke show when they fail, if you are into that stuff.

Hi Manuel, it ran 173.4mph at Ocala, we have made some tweaks to the setup, but mainly tuning.
How are you doing? Have you changed your clutches yet?

I have seen your first reply here, then you changed it, so i know the real purpose of your post.
If you dont mind, can i ask how many 68mm VTGs have you seen in your life? Are you a tuner?

We don't like to use generic 5 year old technology wheels that everyone uses, thats why we always try different things, making development our selves.

Oh by the way, FYI new 991 GT2RS uses 70mm turbos, measured my self
