991.1 tune suggestions

Hi There Everybody,

I recently purchased a 15 911 turbo s and was looking to get it tuned. I have had cars tuned before but flashed from the Ecu . I have seen quite of few turbo s with all Cobb. Is that the only way to tune the car. And if so what are the benefits with the Cobb? I’m planning on doing fbo in the future. Thanks in advance.

No there are several choices, just look thru the forum or try Rennlist forum. I have a 2017 turbo s, and have many tuners minutes from my home, I went with Sam at By Design 3000 miles away, I did this after reading many happy customer results over the years, but for me it was a world away, that was until I called Sam on the phone, then I called him again, each time he spend a great amount of time explaining differences and what could be done, I was looking for a little more than just a tune, I also wanted headers, exhaust, intake, and better intercoolers, so I sent the car for summer vacation from PA to Cali, had the truck wait a week and then bring it back home, been smiling for a year now, the car flies and not a single issue, my next car will make the same trip. Look around and ask a lot of questions, Sam was the right choice for me

COBB Tunes are flashed ECU tunes, the COBB handheld device is used to load the tunes onto the ECU and also to log. This is easier to manage than having to use a laptop in the car. We are a COBB authorized dealer and offer custom tuning services in partnership with ES Motor, feel free to reach out with any questions.

We are located in South Plainfield NJ.

Hey Dylan, welcome to the Forum and congrats to your Turbo S i see you also want to do FBOs in the future. I suggest you ask a lot of New Yorkers with fast Porsches there's nothing cool to witness your car being worked on and real dyno tuned in person and lots of questions answered on the spot. Read or reach out to members here regarding which shop to transform your toy I'm sure you're smart enough to figure it out. You may PM ne if need be, good luck and Happy Motoring!

You are in the Tri-State area and lucky to be near AIM Performance. Ryan and Joe are great guys and provide amazing customer service and ongoing support. Most (if not all) of the quickest and fastest Porsches in the country (FBO stock motor & built motor) come out of AIM Performance. They will test & perfect your car and dial it in before giving it back to you. They are the complete package.
