I'm a diehard Porsche lover and recently traded in my 991.2 Turbo S for a 720s.
If I could only own 1 car for an apocalypse it would be the Porsche by a country mile. They are unique and special in the way they just do everything so right.
The McLaren is just a completely different animal altogether. Cognitive dissonance. It is much smoother and more comfortable than my Porsche was and much faster.
In fact my 675lt drives smoother in comfort mode than the Porsche. McLaren's hydraulic suspension has to be felt to be believed.
I haven't had any reliability issues with any of the 5 Porsches I've owned and have had perfect luck so far with my Macs.
That said I've only put a couple thousand miles on my 675 and a few hundred on my new 720s so ymmv.

So i was called "blind toward Porsche brand", a "Porsche mob" and more, and that's just for presenting the facts to some who have relationship crisis with their Porsche, after sighting a car with cool doors and nice note, claiming their Porsche is now boring and in lower league. i was also giving the reasonable prediction about the 720 becoming the next 12MC you can pick up for the price of a Mercedes salon, and generally just a random car no one cares about.
Well, guess what, 2018 720S is now only about 15-20 % difference in price from a USED 2018 turbo S (and going to catch up fast), that's a car that was 2 times the Porsche price just 2 years ago, while the turbo S claimed to be "boring unwanted easy to get heavenly discounted car dealers cant sale".
AND THEN came the best part, i notice one of the biggest opponents, Mac Advocate here (99GDzra) is now maintaining his warm and nice, also predicted by me "back in a turbo S" thread, just few months after.. hope it didn't cost you a big fortune (i am sure a small one it did) and welcome back

Just saw Doug's video about his new Auction website and how the 720S is dropping like a stone
and i immediately remembered this amusing thread.

I am so happy the power of my words and my ingenuity wittiness was driving such an intense reaction from "respected" members, because as an author, i do work with my words.
I will not "leave alone" a guy that aggressively mocked throughout this thread just to open a "back in turbo S" thread few month after. Let alone when the only thing i am doing is placing facts. i couldn't care less you don't like my analogs or insights on cars value, by not caring about other's opinion, you get advance in your life.
BTW, if you "stopped liking" vets because of what other are thinking, i can see what drives you to the random car with the cool doors in the first place.
