anyone go from tts to 720s?
"stupid ***"
"deep s**"
I am so happy the power of my words and my ingenuity wittiness was driving such an intense reaction from "respected" members, because as an author, i do work with my words.
I will not "leave alone" a guy that aggressively mocked throughout this thread just to open a "back in turbo S" thread few month after. Let alone when the only thing i am doing is placing facts. i couldn't care less you don't like my analogs or insights on cars value, by not caring about other's opinion, you get advance in your life.
BTW, if you "stopped liking" vets because of what other are thinking, i can see what drives you to the random car with the cool doors in the first place.

If we all chose to buy things that only went up in value we’d mostly never buy anything. Cars bring a different feeling in regards to “value” to me, and others I’d venture to guess... I choose to drive the value out of my cars instead of buying a car based on its resale value.
For such an astute guy, your reading comprehension SUCKS!!! If you had really read my reasons for giving up the Mclaren it had zero to do with resale value... but I don’t need to justify my decisions to you. Honesty you’re a nuisance and super irritating, but I’ll bite on one last reply to you. The second part of my comment was I started disliking Corvettes because of PEOPLE like you, not their opinions. As I told you, I couldn’t care less what you think of me, or my cars. Truth is, I find value in a variety of different cars, not monetarily, but what it brings to me in the form of pleasure.

Jerry Seinfeld came out with a new joke, when you say a word twice in a sentence, people will think it's right- "it is what it is" "business is business".
Well, same here. you can't justified a car being "other league" because you like the cool doors and nice note which make you feel nice. I value the ride in my 1996 100 HP diesel Defender, listening to Bob Dylan, so? am i claiming it to be another league super car?
At first, I wasn't referring to the market value at all (this is just another prove for my points and reasonable prediction for it falling like the 12mc), only fact which are-
720S is a lighter, significantly more powerful car which is SLOWER on tracks than a heavy "none track" turbo S. AND, if we trough the money it cost on Porsche, we will get the 2RS which will.. well.. you know.
therefor, the only advantage visible is cool doors and nice note, AKA, "random car with cool doors" (i claim copyright for this phrase
) .I advised some of my friends who also wanted to try the random cars with cool doors to get any mac but 720, and i was right.
you want other league mac? bring the p1 or senna (of course, than we will trough the 918 on them, 5 years old car that can still demolish almost any other).

Thank you for the compliment, i am sure this "bite" is NOTHING compare to the bite you had to make, opening a "back in TTS" thread after mocking it for a month here. You said your self, of course i didn't read the reasons you came back, i don't care. Second, for such a forum sweetheart, you are, sorry to say quite an egoist when you assume your "feeling" and subjective value will make a random car "other league".

I see this thread is still alive soon figured I’d give my .02 after owning an 800 whp 991.1 TTS and now a 720S.
My factory stock 720S with only an R888R out back runs the same 60-130 as my modded 911 did DA for DA. Some of you that follow me on YouTube (Boostitforward) seen the numbers.
Anyways, the 720 is EXTREMELY capable and is very fast! The trans is amazing, the car looks undeniably awesome, the visibility is incredible, the suspension is very compliant, and the driving position is unmatched IMO. Knowing that, I loved my 911 and it definitely has its advantages as well. It’s better built and it’s AWD that’s more confidence aspiring.
After owning both, it’s easy for me to conclude that the 720S is the far more exciting car, but the 911 is a very impressive piece of machinery that is the jack of all trades, just not so enticing. (Which could be a good thing if it’s an addition to the 720S)

This is the kind of post/reply we want to read an honest to goodness comments based on first hand experience and nothing derogatory. I would love to own a 720 S but just can't afford it so I'm on a hunt for a great deal on a 991 TTS and send it to AIM Performance of NJ for some Emre sauce. I recently sold my crazy 1140 hp manual 996 TT built by AIM due to shoulder injury hence a search for a PDK.
I didn’t forget about anything... trying to let this thread die a horrible death. Odd the op never came back after he started this thread, so it makes me think he’s a total troll and we all bit on it.
I get tired of trying to defend my position on what cars I like and don’t like... some forums are better than others, but I haaaate homers who think their “brand” is the only, and best! At the end of the day, I’m a Mclaren guy who owns Porsche too... and and have owned several of both, as you have as well.

until the 720 is tuned... 🙄
I just sold a 991.1 with 700 whp. The 720 is far more exciting, also faster, stock! The 911 is a road car you can take to the track. The 720 more like a track car for the road.
At speeds north of 160 mph, the aero on the 720 is well above the 911, being far more planted.
I also have a 18 targa gts tuned + an 18 panamera e hybrid. Got the 720 in Jan 2020, has 3,400 miles, sport exaust sounds great! Awesome involvement! Max revs 8500 😲. Porsche is very very nice. A little on the boring side.

Curious what “mods” were done to the Mclaren? They’re a 170plus mph car in a standing 1/2 mile and you’re a 200plus mph car in the same distance... I surely HOPE you can walk a stock 720S. No disrespect intended Dave, but all of your races, you decided to post this video? Post one of the 200plus mph Huracan that was there racing vs your car... that should be a more fair race.
2) Yes, I decided to post this video since this is a Porsche vs. 720S thread. Would have been strange to post me racing a different car, don't you think?
3) I have no video of me racing the Huracans, because we never raced. They were not out when I was. I did line up against a modded GTR, but he then pulled off to the side for reasons unknown. I definitely would have lost to the 2000+whp Huracans. They would have walked me as much as I walked the 720S.
