Recommended Engine Oil

I have been told by a highly regarded Porsche tuner that replacing the stock spec oil with Torco 5-40 weight is highly recommended.
What is your preferred oil and weight?
Thanks

Never heard of Torco oil before but the search did show it is an A40 classification and Torco is available at Walmart. I had been using Redline 5W40 for years and now use their 0W40.

Lots of threads about this over the years and the overwhelming concensus is stick with factory Mobil 1.

It always amazes me how paid advertising can influence the masses. Exxon’s sticker recommends Mobil 1 and it becomes the gospel even though Porsche has pages of other approved oils.

It must be the sticker, not because it comes from the factory with M1 and Porsche dealers use M1 by default.

The rationale for the Torco over the specified Mobil 1 comes from the inspection of many motors torn down and oil analysis performed by Blackstone that demonstrated superior lubrication and reduced wear.

We push the car to the limits and we are still using Mobil 1 0-40...I am sure Porsche did a lot of research to make it our spec oil!

Does this tuner have proof of the Blackstone analyses and specifics these motors? In what conditions were these cars ran, etc.
