Pics! My DBM with Spasm!

These pics to me represent what Dark Blue Metallic really looks like. Also note the 20mm drop with SPASM!

Nice drop from the factory. Color seems to have a lot of depth.

Fantastic pix, Spike. These really capture how the DBM glistens and sparkles.

I guess I'm blind. Really? If you didn't tell me I wouldnt have known about the 20mm drop or especialy the 5mm spacers! 5mm is such a small amount (have you looked at a ruler lately?), how can this possibly make a difference visually or performance wise during daily driving? I couldnt bring myself to spend money on these mini-measurements when I placed my order since I am going to do what 90% of Porsche owners do, which is just plain old drive my car to work and back everyday.
Don't get me wrong, love your car, wish it was in my driveway, I just dont see the fuss over spending money on performance "enhancements" that really wont benefit the actual driver. The car looks menacing in normal stance anyways, and I'm sure you will crap your pants going into a corner at speed long before reaching the speed that these enhancements would actually show some benefit to you (and would you notice?). I know I would!

It's all about what each individual wants and desires and not needs. The same question can be asked of you on why you picked an S over a Base. I am sure for most of us, a Base Carrera would be sufficient. Yet, most of us, take the S.

Yes, I see that point. And I am sorry if I offended. I always found the lowering thing (with any car) to be overkill, and 5mm spacers??
I think the difference between a base and an S would be noticeable when driving, even during daily driving. but again, this is just what I think, I haven't driven both, only the S.
Maybe I should have just kept my thoughts to myself. I am no billionaire, so every choice on the laundry list was carefully thought out. When I came to spacers, I went "ummm, no".

No apology necessary as I wasn't offended. In addition to the additional lowering, PASM Sport also gives stiffer springs and shocks which is beneficial for spirited driving. When mixed with PDCC, it should provide the best of both worlds.

This sums it up when you want to talk about ultimate suspension.

Lowering the suspension.... would it make the front bumper more susceptible to damage while going in and out of some steep driveway or is it non-issue, like just lots of scratches at the bottom of the bumper plastic?

I noticed that my neighbor's 997.2 4S made scraping sound when he's going out of his driveway, but I did not have a chance to look at his front bumper yet....

Thank you for your input, duly noted. Yes I am well aware of of what a ruler looks like and what the markings mean.

I wish I had gotten the spacers. -20 was not an option with the condition of the roads and driveways where I drive. Your car looks low and wide and amazing, Spike.
