since we are talking corvettes, just out of curiosity, GTR owners, how do u rate the interior of ur car ?
I am lucky enough to have the BE interior which I really love. The seats are awesome. Having said that, imo, the BE interior is better than the 997, but not as nice as the 991. The rear seats are totally usable for my 5 year old son, and the trunk is pretty awesome to have. My wife has gone to costco in my GTR (i know, the horror, I told her to park in no mans land)... and I take my kid for rides in it all the time.

The 991 felt just as connected as the Cayman R and more so then anything else except for the GT3, of course.
many reviewers would disagree with you....not saying your wrong but many would.

those are very good reason for buying a GTR.. amazing performance and very high gains from turbo mods.

another question based on my curiosity - what do u do with 1200+ hp ?

do u track it ? or run 1/2 miles ?

for me, it would be like having a 20 inch *****.. i wouldn't know what to do with it except maybe to show it off.

You have a point, but I drove my GT2 to the dealership and then test drove a 991. You can guess what my impression was. So when I got to experience it on the track and also during other driving excercises, I left with a totally different impression then the test drive on normal streets. If I wanted a small sporty DD, I think it would be the best for me.

I read and watched all the reviews and thus was very suprised by my experience with the different cars. My opinion was unanamious with all 30 participants at the school and the instructors.
On another topic, when trying to decide between maybe getting a 458 or the mclaren, I watched and read many reviews. Tiff and his friend hated the mclaren and many other reviews said the same. But lately a majority of the reviews are saying the opposite and favor the mclaren, so go figure! It gets very confusing. But will try them both out at the track in Vegas along with many other exotics.

My current car doesn't have 1200 HP. It has 1000. On 93 octane. And yes, I track it, as well as accelerate very quickly all the time. The differences between my 1,000 HP car and a 20" ***** are that unlike a 20" *****, no one that sees my car knows that it has 1000 HP, and I can easily use all 1000 HP of my car. I doubt that anyone could use all of a 20" inch *****.

Out of curiosity, no problems with law enforcement? They seem pretty strict in VA.

They are very strict. The strictest. But like anywhere else, you have to always be aware of your surroundings, choose your stretch carefully, and utilize a quality radar detector and laser jammer.

Not sure I agree with a blanket statement like that. I like watches as much as the next guy but not every Rolex keeps it's value.

Stainless sports Rolex watches for sure. Anything gold or two tone - not so much.

It is true that Seiko doesn't have the same cachet as a Rolex but that Spring Drive movement is very cool.

After owning various American pick up trucks and with the increased popularity of some of the japanese trucks, one year I decided to test drive some. The few that I drove seemed okay, although they drove more like cars than trucks, and the bodies and doors seemed thin. I bought a Dodge.

After almost 50 years, I'm impressed Porsche has managed to maintain so much of the feeling that made it great. In my eyes, you just cant beat a german car, or an american truck, but you're welcome to keep trying, and occasionally I might even test drive one.

I like this logic... Dodge is better than Toyota, so Porsche is better than the GT-R.

This saves a lot of time and effort of actually driving the cars and forming an opinion based on my own knowledge/experience. I appreciate the tip!

Let's see if I can play...
After over 20 years (40, if you're really counting), I'm impressed that the Nissan GT-R managed to maintain so much of the performance that made it great. In my eyes, you just can't beat the reliability of a japanese car, but you're welcome to keep trying, and occasionally I might ever test drive one.

I recognize it's not logical. I like blondes. Also not logical. Just a silly preference.

Furthermore, I doubt any of us can run 1:20's at that track in either car. It's just another freudian statistic to measure our *****' by.
