Bleached out break calipers

The brake calipers - except of the front panels - of my 991 C2 are completely bleached out and do no longer look black, but grey. Is this normal?

No that's not normal! My 370Z's black brake calipers still look factory new, there is no way that a 911's caliper paint is worse than nissan's. go get that checked out and tell us what happened!

Not normal. My 997.2 c2 black calipers are not faded after 4 years. Its my dd, driven in rain and some snow.

Something went wrong in the finishing process. I would get those replaced under warranty otherwise they look like they may start rusting.

I don't think Porsche would call that normal and I've never experienced it with the Porsches I've had. It even looks like you're developing a little rust on the valve. I would think hard about where you are getting the car washed. And I would think you should take it into the dealer and see what those guys think.

I took the car to the dealer today. He was a bit embarrassed and said that he has never seen anything like that. He will contact Porsche and ask what to do about it (replacing or repainting the break calipers?)
