I got Burmester, 18 Way, and SPASM. No regrets. Love them all. Would reorder on my next build.

Oh thanks a lot for getting back to me. My previous carrera 4s had normal seats with Bose system so I wouldn't know the difference.

Is burmester significantly different and what about about the 18 seats ? Does it make a lot of difference?

Spasm makes car looks better especially with the gap around wheels I hope the ride won't be too harsh, I will get it though.

I just want to justify burmester and 18 sport seats

What about the plastic bit on the back of full leather seats .. Would that be a put off ? As the whole seat won't be all leather from behind .. Also entering the car would that be a problem on the long run with 18 seats?

Ventilated seats? Seat backs are fine. I had mine wrapped in carbon fibre wrap....looks way better than standard trim. SPASM is great.

Thanks,, i m getting heated seats as winter is cold here in Canberra.. so you think 18 seats are worth the extra almost $ 2000 on the top of the full leather seats.

I noticed you have SPASM from the front bumber lip .. did you order power srearing plus as well ?

I've been thinking about SPASM as well but our dodgy Australian roads have so many pot holes and speed humps that I think I'll stay with just plain PASM. Don't want to lower another 10mm and scrape the bottom/front.

I'm undecided between 14-way and 18-way as well. The 18-way fits better (I'm not chubby) but it does cost more and I don't like the plastic back. Don't want to pay another $3k to leather the back.

Also thinking about power steering plus - been reading in the forums and have almost decided to do without. Having extra assist at parking speed is good but only up to 10km/h in my mind. This system operates up to 32mph (50kph) which is most of what I do in Sydney traffic. That's too much "on-time" as someone else has said.

Hi Mate

Thanks for your comments. I am thinking of getting SPASM as the there is a gap around the wheels. I searched a lot of pics on autogespot web site. Spoke to the dealer in Canberra .. the front spoiler lip is not expensive if damaged i think $ 400.

I also like the look of the car being lower with the front spoiler. I am trying to convince myself that GT3 owners are the ones who scratch their cars and i wont!10 mm i hope wont make a big difference.

I will let go of power stearing plus.. i liked the stearing on my previous 4S gen 2.

I hope burmester will be worth it.. i like my music, at home i have bang and olfsun so on a car this price i should get a good system saying that i had no complaints from bose with my previous car.

I am definately going for full leather and very tempted to get the 18 seats.. going through the configurator i think the back contrast looks good on a white car. I am currently driving a Golf GTI and it has got he sport seats standerd (CLOTH) .. they feel good

I have never driven a road in Oz but I have ordered SPASM for use here in South Africa. I have no regrets at all. I had scraping issues at both my homes (one a holiday home) getting into the garage due to overdone drainage but simply coming in at a slight angle fixes that.
I have had no issues with speed bumps at all and we have plenty of those, some of them look like minor mountains !
Even more surprising - I scrape the bottom of my C-class Merc on one of the speed bumps when collecting post - the SPASM just glides over the speed bump with no issues.

The SPASM (in particular if you ditch the PDCC) gives a very nice ride. Soft, yet very sports car like. Never harsh. Pushing the car very hard around turns it corners so totally flat I have a hard time understanding why PDCC is even an option here...
