Held out for a bit, went from my 997 GT2 to an R8 V10, which I loved, and sold a few months back. Just came across a 991S in a PTS color I just couldn't resist, the customer (who buys 40+ cars a year from this dealership, often sold back undriven) sold this one back essentially undriven, car has 84 miles on the odo. Yachting blue exterior, looks somewhat similar to Atlas grey. Going to have a full front clearbra put on. Picking it up in a couple weeks, weather permitting.

Edit: Forgot to add options list. PDK, Black full leather, 14-way power seats, SC, PSE, Bose, parkassist, glass sunroof, multifunc wheel, passport 9500ci installed.

My two cents on the R8, it was a huge hit when launched, super car look for a "good price" . R8 with S-tronic should be here any day now. I am sure that will be very good. The single clutch... Might be a good idea to look into when is the next gen due out. I was hoping to see it when Porsche launch the turbo. But that is not going to happen.

If you earlier had and enjoyed a GT2, if I were u, I would wait for for the GT3 which is about to be launched soon.

This PTS color will be awful hard to resell.

Completely agree, it's an exotic AWD mid engine car for a reasonable price. That said, I would not buy one new, if you're looking used there are some great deals. That said I'm very curious how the new baby Lambo (and next R8) are going to be.

 

LOL, it's definitely going to be different, I went through a bit of a meandering journey sports car-wise, started with the 997 C4S, then got bitten by track bug after doing PSDS, went overboard and get a GT2, loved it but modded it up for track and was loving that but lost the streetability, and ended up scaring myself one day at the track spinning it out a couple times in the damp despite driving like a granny. Needless to say, I traded out of it and decided for a more streetable car, the R8 V10, which I loved, but decided to sell that when I got an offer I couldn't refuse. Was planning on waiting for the 991 turbo or GT3, but after getting a C7 S6 as my daily driver (great DD but turbo lag is annoying), and after enjoying the NA linearity of the R8 V10, I decided I wanted a NA 911, and RWD at that. So that's where I'm at now.

Lambo is not done cracking out more "special edition" yet. , I am sure there will be a "2013 March Edition" Gallardo coming soon . Next R8 should be interesting. Competition is always a good thing.
