C2S Options when custom ordering
C2S Options when custom ordering
I'm buying my first Porsche and very excited about it. I put a deposit for 2014 C2S. I have several questions related to available options
First, can Porsche paint my Carrera S wheels black, instead of the dealership? Looks like that option is not available on the website. What is an estimated price for Porsche to paint it? I like the look of the platinum, which is an option
that is available.
Secondly, is the Bose package worth $2500? This was recommended by my sales guy.
Finally, I like the Aero Kit look. As a newbie, I'm not sure what the downside will be. What are the pros and cons?

My dealer told me that Porsche is stopping painting wheels by themselves. Too bad... Black wheel looks really nice with light exterior. But i am sure that the dealer would able to paint it as nicely as Porsche factory does.
Bose package is worth it. But more importantly, go with the PSE.
Haven't seem any car in the dealership with an aero kit. But it look nice on the website.
Take a look at Techart's website, they have a really nice bodykit for 991. And I am sure that's going to be cheaper.

congrats, +1 on the pse comment. Also would add that the aero kit pros: looks fantastic imo, adds to the performance at higher speeds, slightly more unique look to your 991. cons: ducktail look isnt for everyone, lower front end, esp if you are getting spasm will bottom out more frequently and easily.
Porsche USA did away with the painted wheel options about 6 months ago. However, I believe it is still available in other countries - you can change the country to Germany and still see them. You will have to convert to US but that would give you and idea of what the cost was. It was pricey compared to what you can have done locally. +2 on the PSE option.I had BOSE in my 997 and it was fine.
Are you thinking Sport Design or Aerokit? I like the SD look but passed on it as I am getting a Cab and will not track it often. In my opinion you either get that option for performance or looks - only you can decide on the latter.

First, Congrats. You will love it. I don't know about the wheels. The Bose is OK. the Burnmeister is better but very expensive. I respectfully disagree about the PSE, the car makes a great growl without it, it costs alot, and it does not help performance. JMO. And I have never been a aerokit guy. I don't even like it when the tail of the stock goes up - I like the smooth line of the car at rest. Again, JMO.
