PSE Install Instructions

Anyone know where I can get, or do they have, the install instructions for the OEM PSE? I'm trying to see if I can DIY upgrade to PSE for under $1K. I think it is possible on the S model as it already has most of the parts on the car. The valves and center section can be had for around $700, it's around $200 for the other parts.

Yes I have the instructions. You have a $100,000+ car.

Drive to dealer, hand credit card to dealer. Wait 1/2 a day. Drive away happy. You need to program the car to accept the PSE why screw with it.

Actually, PSE will bolt on, no problem and works just fine.

the only things you need to do is extend the vacuum lines (you can buy the factory ones) and, if you want to get the manual switch for it, get a new set of center console buttons (and program the car)

But, if you don't want to program the car, you can just get the PSE middle muffler, and the vacuum lines and it bolts right in. Side mufflers are the same.

What you will find is that regardless of sport or sport plus, PSE will open at idle, close over 5mph, and then open back up over 3300 rpm and more than about 10% throttle. Works nicely that way.

Apparently the side mufflers are different in PSE. Different part numbers as I understand.

I spent all the money on the $100K car.

Seriously, I'll screw with it simply because it's fun, and I can. I don't care about the money aspect of it.

Hmmm. I'm getting conflicting information. I've got a 14 991S on order. I didn't spec PSE as I wanted to get something more aggressive.

I'm debating getting the Sharkwerks side muffler pipes. I am now considering the Sharkwerks exhaust combined with PSE centre muffler retrofitted (this would be significantly more aggressive than PSE while retaining some of the PSE characteristics)

I got a quote from dealer for the centre PSE installed price (including the button) which actually worked out significantly less than ordering the full PSE from factory.

I was told that the PSE retrofit involves all 3 mufflers (even on an "S"). So a full retrofit of PSE would be more than factory ordered price.

Can anyone else confirm if the side mufflers on PSE are different than standard side mufflers (even on S)

To go a step further, I can't even figure out why they even put the side mufflers on the car. Must have something to do with federal regulations.

Really interested to see if this works out. If so it's moving to the top of my list.

Diffferent than the base car but identical on the S.

The 997 side cans were different, but the middle is identical - 991 is opposite, side cans are identical, middle muffler is diffferent.
