Intermittent no heat

Sometimes my hvac would not produce any heat. One time restarting the car did the trick but other times not. It could cut the heat for 1/2 hour, or work for 40 min and then cut out for good. I'm afraid that when I take it to the dealer it will be a waste of time because my hvac will be on its best behavior at the time.

Anyone else had issues with intermittent no heat? If so, what was the fix?

Heater fix

I had the same issue. At first, the dealer (Porsche of Conshohocken) couldn't replicate it, and "recalibrated" the climate control system, which didn't fix the problem. Two days later (as the weather turned colder near Philadelphia), the dealer said lots of cars suddenly had the same problem, and they learned from PCNA that there's a replacement part for a solenoid/valve that fixes the issue. The new part was installed in my car and the heat is working fine.

Just picked up my car and indeed, the dealer replaced some valve and it's working now

This is good to know.
Mine tends not to heat up unless I crank up the temperature. Taking it in next week.

I have the same problem. But I found if your turn off the ac via the ac button and turn it back on the heat will come on. I complained about this a month or so ago and they didn't have a fix then. Will have to take it back in

Mine is a 2013, with a build date in May or June of 2013.

Hmmm, mine is built between these two. Need to find a cold dry day and take it out to see. Thanks for the response.

I am having same intermittent heat issue in my '13 C4. It is unpredictable, and I've tried every trick I can find w adjustments on the console with no avail. I took it in today and they could not reproduce it, unfortunately. So, a software update and "hard reset" of the system hopefully will help. I learned that if the dealer cannot find a faulty part under warranty, there isn't a lot they can do.
