Money2536's White 991 C2S Journal
Hey Money, keep in mind that different paint systems react differently to various polishes as well as LSPs. Porsche paint may not like this particular Sonax product but is fine with another. Good to hear you so in touch with what's going on. Typically I've found that carnauba based products attract dirt and dust so I would guess that will be somewhat of a problem with any of the nubas regarding pollen season. Sealants are known for their shedding dirt and water properties, so I think you're onto the right thing. However, I don't know why your topping the PowerLock with 845 (sealant over sealant). I've used both but never together. If I used a topper I would probably go for a nuba to get that look. Otherwise two coats of either sealant will certainly get the job done. Three coats is probably a little to the overkill side but heah, I'm right there next to ya with most things. On white I probably lean a bit towards the #845 but don't think either one would be a bad choice.
Before you start spending your kids college fund on wax, give AutoFinese Spirit a try. Wait for the stupid pollen to pass and for $195 (list but wait for at least a -20% sale) you be amazed. SoCal Steve tired AF Illusion (another great choice just not as bright on white) on my recommendation and he's raving - shoot him a pm to get his opinion. Anyway, if you like carnauba based waxes, this is one shines and the best I've tried. In fact it's so good I'd buy it again. It's a WOWO product so super easy to apply and remove and you can do it all by hand very quickly.
If you want a little more high tech in your LSP then one of the newer combo products, Pinnacle Black Label Synergy is worth considering. Just did a review for AG so you might want to check that out as well. It's a combination LSP, part coating and part nuba. Very interesting and the love bugs literally fall off my front bumper if I barely touch them with a MF towel & some detail spray. The only thing I didn't like was it stained my stone guards and I'll have to replace them. I wasn't told to beware of the staining and I've never had that issue with any other LSP, so make sure you tape them off and you'll be fine.

Here too
Maybe next time I'll try this...but it is BLOODY expensive!!!
This may sound ridiculous, but Auto Finesse branding turns me off. I understand 845 is questionable as to whether it's a wax or a sealant, but I've been topping PL with 845 with great success for years. PL never makes it more than three months for me by itself. I may just swallow my pride and buy some Auto Finesse carnuba. I've had this serious crush on Swissvax Concorso for some reason. I can't explain it. Maybe I should give up that waste of money idea.

There is a YouTube video of a guy using Swissvax on a Masser MC12 and he applied it with his bare hands and everything. I forgot what show it was but the guy used cosmetic brushes for his interior and washed his cars with brand new cloth diapers.
Zymol and other nuba's can be applied via bare hands as well. I've tried it but....I don't see the advantage and it's messy & wasteful of product. Frankly a cheapie foam yellow applicator pad or a black finishing pad on a DA does the job nicely and certainly can be applied evenly throughout the panel. And I definitely wouldn't use anything other than MF towels either on the interior or exterior of my car. YMMV
I don't have personal experience with that product so it might be worth it, but I sort of doubt it...there is a point of diminishing returns on these things IMO, But I would love for you to give it a go and report back. Honestly, Spirit is simply great - I think you'll be more than satisfied.

I cannot imagine how the Spirit could be that much better than the Illusion...I have never used a product that beads so well, that the brake dust just falls right off with a pressure washer (don't even need to touch the paint at all) and the wet look is beyond gorgeous!
Thanks all. I'll take one for the team, and let you know my thoughts.
M3 Update!
For those that care, I've been struggling with my M3 order. My original intent was to lease it and stay basic and "practical" with my daily driver. For some reason, I just wasn't very excited about getting a FREAKING M3! I think the 911 has sterilized the awesomeness of owning my other favorite car. After reading about a hundred reviews, I decided to spend the extra dollars, buy the car instead of lease it, and get exactly what I wanted.
Here is what I ended up with:
Original
Mineral White M3
Sakhir Orange/Black Extended Leather
6MT
19" Black 437M Wheels
Harman Kardon
Added
Adaptive M Suspension
M Carbon Ceramic Brakes
Lighting Package
MSRP: $77,500.
I got $2,000 off, so $75,500.
The only other thing I considered was getting full leather. Having it in the 911 hasn't done much for me, so I decided against it. Also like my 911, I stayed performance oriented rather than getting all of the comfort options. I don't like cameras, parking assitants, and other driving aids, so I left that off. I did decide to get the LED headlights this time mainly for the different look of the headlights with daytime running lights on.
This whole process of getting my two dream cars in one year has been almost surreal. I can't wait. I'm done buying cars for a long, long while. Oh, and I have a new baby girl coming around the same time as my M3, August 20th. This is a crazy year!
