Because the fabspeed is a bolt on replacement, I think it should be the same price
My dealer added the PSE parts and installed the AWE exhaust for just over $600, including parts. I had the exhaust system drop shipped to them.

$600 including parts is amazing!

Dealer wants $1040 + $500 pse parts. I'm gonna try to save a few bucks and buy the porsche parts myself. I don't think the installation price is coming down any more.

Thanks

So they are willing to do the S PSE upgrade parts for 500 and 1040 for the install? That is a great price on the parts. I would be interested. Can you share which dealer and the service person you are working with? Maybe we can even get a better discount doing two cars? I am in NY so I am close to northern NJ. Please let me know. Thanks.

yes Town Porsche in Englewood NJ will do the S PSE upgrade with a fabspeed valvetronic xpipe installation for $1040. Negotiated down from $1300. I told them that Ray Catena Porsche in South Jersey would do it for $900, so $1040 in Northern NJ is a good price I think. The dealer 5 minutes from my house wanted $1800 and kept telling me I had to replace the side mufflers with regular PSE and that the Fabspeed xpipe wouldn't fit. I spoke to Fabspeed...no issues whatsoever.

Parts were $600ish from Town Motors, so I decided to save a few bucks and buy the parts from Sonnen Porsche's website. Saved close to $200 off list price.

The foreman from Town was great and didn't care as long as they were OEM Porsche parts. He said they did plenty of aftermarket xpipes and full exhausts and said no problem installing the Fabspeed too.

The service advisor, Danielle, even gave me the parts list needed. It was slightly different than the 4 parts listed by DOES195, but I'm not going to argue over a few bucks. The expensive parts like the switch and hoses already saves me plenty, so if there are other parts needed when they do the install, I will just pay retail through the dealer.

Speak to Danielle at Town and maybe they can take off a few more bucks for both of us. If you don't do the aftermarket xpipe, the PSE center muffler is $850ish on Sonnen.

This mod actually ends up saving me $80,000. I was going to trade in my C2S convertible for a new Targa 4 GTS. Hopefully, I can ignore that itch for now...

These prices sound pretty good. Just curious, have you also tried Suncoast? They are usually really sharpe on price. Thanks.

I checked with them with the first list of parts from the OP. They were higher than Sonnen. I didn't check with the list I got from Town.

So you ordered all your parts? You basically just gave Sonnen the list above? I am thinking of staying with the OEM muffler. How different is the fabspeed?

I was able to order online through sonnen. Also the switch may be different for you if you don't have a convertible. Fabspeed from what I've read should be louder but same tone as PSE OEM exhaust sound. Personally, I want it to go from mildly loud to obnoxiously loud. I've heard the stock PSE, and it was definitely good, just not brutal though. I read on the forum that someone liked the Cargraphic for the same reason.

Sorry, yes, all parts have been ordered, and I should get eveyrthing this week. I will try to upload vid of stock exhaust and vid after the install to give others a better idea of the sound difference.

just picked up my car today, and I am kicking myself for not doing it earlier!

The fabspeed xpipe with PSE is a beast! Couldn't be happier with the setup especially the fact that it didn't cost me too much. The initial startup sounds amazing. The only caveat is the switch doesn't do too much in muting the sound except a noticeable difference at highway cruising speeds. Perfect for me, but other who want quiet mode around town may get too much sound with the xpipe. Personally, I love hearing the exhaust noise at low speeds, and it's the reason I did the xpipe as opposed to the stock center muffler. The note is deep at low revs, and sounds like an exotic at high revs.

The car definitely breathes better and I can actually feel the HP difference.

I normally don't give plugs to dealers, but I definitely recommend speaking to Danielle at Town Porsche and the tech Kevin. They worked with me on the price, and Kevin knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish. When I dropped off my car, the parts manager told me that they would price match any online price next time. Unbelievable experience from start to finish with them.

I'll try to post vids this weeekend.

just a quick update after less than a week with the setup.

PSE switch is amazing. With the system on normal, the exhaust is quieter than the stock c2s exhaust. With the PSE activated, the tone deepens and it growls at low rpms. Above, 5k RPMs, I swear it sounds better than a Ferrari.

I don't know how I went 3 years without it. I'm definitely keeping this car forever now (okay, maybe another year hehe)

I think any valved x pipe should sound familiar to the fabspeed I have. I wasn't too picky on the xpipe based on the sound clips I heard. The car also breathes much much better (obviously) where the it revs quicker.

Thank you OP for the post. PSE with an Xpipe is an absolute must

Pse

It's doing the same thing when I try to view it. However, it will pull up on my iPhone.

Here is the parts list with quantities and total price for each:

991-111-437-07 x 1 $857
991-111-482-00 x 2 $18
900-910-003-03 x 6 $8
999-651-401-01 x 1 $1
991-111-492-00 x 2 $103
991-111-491-00 x 1 $49
991-111-488-00 x 1 $18
900-918-005-40 x 1 $4
991-613-957-05 x 1 $182

From what I recall, you will have a part or two left over. I can't remember which one(s), but I believe it was one of the cheaper parts from the list above.

Good luck!
