PDK - Paddles or Shift Lever?
PDK - Paddles or Shift Lever?
Question for PDK owners, when you do deicide to do the shifting for yourself, which do you find yourself shifting more with, the paddles or the shift lever?
I thought I'd use the paddles more (because that's where your hands are) but I find myself preferring to use the shift lever. I like the weight of pushing it back and forth. Especially exiting corner if the steering wheel is all crossed up.
What about you guys?

Generally I prefer the Paddles.
That said, quite often I find my self crossed up in a turn fiddling around trying to find the paddle. So at times I find myself switching over to the lever to supplement the paddles.

I agree the lever has a nice weight to it and feels good to use but I'm too lazy to move my hand 6 inches from the wheel when the paddles are 'just there'
All-paddles with the exception of the occassional 1-2 shift while turning at an intersection. Fixed paddles would solve this, but might be a pain at high speeds.
My Rube Goldberg fantasy would be paddles that are fixed at low speeds, then move with the steering wheel at higher speeds, say 20+ mpg. Porsche Active Shift Paddles (PASP)

I prefer the (unpopular) steering wheel buttons when I want to shift myself. I can shift up or down with either hand while keeping my hands on the wheel. I infrequently shift myself on the road but a couple places a lap on most tracks, even though I leave it in Sport Plus/Automatic mode.

All very strange and unexpected behavior. Testament to the strength of a Porsche 991 that can adapt and mold itself to a lot of individual driving peculiarities of different people.
