Engine Stumble Survey (not poll).
Folks,
I have posted a survey (extracted from a questionnaire initially created by Weim911) along with collaboration and input from ChuckJ, Stealthboy Money2536 and others.
The aim is to help us all understand what is going on with these cars @ 2500 rpm.
The survey is located at; http://www.sogosurvey.com/k/RQsRVUSWsRsPsPsP
Please take a moment to complete they survey, as this issue does not discriminate and you too can become a fellow stumbler at any given time.
We have had a healthy 77 votes in the https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...mble-poll.html that was started less than 10 days ago, so survey participation close to that number would be greatly appreciated.
A heartfelt thank you in advance.
PS. In case you missed it, the survey is located at; http://www.sogosurvey.com/k/RQsRVUSWsRsPsPsP

Comment deleted. I didn't realize that the survey owner wished for all owners to respond, not just folks suffering from the issue.

Basically trying to determine what separates the two groups.
The reason for requesting all owners feedback is to dispel the excuses, misinformation and myths that we've all be given, once and for all. These include the effect of our break-in procedures with respect to stumbling, the brand of gas to be used and driving style / mode.
It will be quite easy to split the data and drill down into specifics.
Thanks everyone for the continued help.
@Christophosphorus - Thanks for the survey
We had 25 responses over the weekend but hoping to get closer to the 75 range, similar to the number of respondents that were kind enough to answer the original poll.
The good thing is that we're definitely eliminating things such as break in, gasoline and PDK vs. MT as being the culprit for the dreaded stumble.
The interesting thing is that no one who developed this problem after xxxx miles has yet to have it go away on it's own accord.

There are two distinct scenarios.
1. When accelerating (moderate load) in 2nd and 3rd gear, you feel a very obvious shudder @2500 along with a very brief lunge as the power loss occurs for a split second, before returning.
If you drive hard, the dead spot is not as noticeable. Sadly this is not an option with daily city driving.
2. When cruising on the highway at the 2500 rpm spot, you feel a constant tugging sensation as if the engine is not getting a steady supply of fuel or the correct mixture. It has been described a fishing line tug, or as if the engine is "hunting".

My latest letter to PCNA says that if the Field Tech considers this stumble "normal" under my apparently incorrect driving habits (namely, driving at 2500 - the horror!) then I want him to meet me at my local dealer so he can ride with me and tell me how to drive correctly.
Yes, I'm getting that cheeky. I'm beyond any rational discussion with them.
