What is the average discount on a 2015 991 4S on a dealer lot?

Really? When you find that out tell me what the stock market is going to do on Monday.

 

I'd shoot for 5% no matter what. With a 2015 that just hit the lot it's not like you're going to get much more than that I'm assuming.

A measly dealer discount is easier to predict than the stock market.

What state are you in?

He's a heckler and has dumb comments for everything.

I think being in Louisiana you'll have a better chance at a better discount than California and some of these "hot" markets where the dealers don't think they have to discount because their buyers will pay through the nose anyway.

You could probably get close to 7% if you push it. Also depends how loaded up it is. If there's a ton of options, there's more margins there for them.

I wouldn't by any means take less than 5%. That's pretty much the minimum.

8% on a recent 2015 order

 

Nice! Going into this time of the year works more to a buyers advantage.

 

I just think general questions about specific subjects like this make no sense. Anyone that thinks they know the answer is guessing at best. The variables are endless. So if I sound sarcastic it's more about saying get out there find a car and start negotiating. If you don't like the discount don't buy it. If I told you i got a 10% discount in Nor Cal it could be based, store inventory, the specific build, days on lot, time of the month, color of the car etc. Honesty is rare to find so when you see it may come off as being sarcastic. GL with your search.

 

If they make no sense to you don't answer then. You somehow seem to know a lot about what people should be asking for cars all the time in the classified section with your unsolicited smart comments on their asking prices. Now a simple thing like an average new car discount seems so foreign to you? Must be the NorCal air. That air seems to make a lot of brains mush seeing what comes out of there.

For possibly a new Porsche buyer that has never dealt with a dealer, it's good knowing some info before heading into one. Each brand has their own story. If this guy got 1% off on any 4S I'd tell him to walk. We all know the range of discounts. Obviously a few points here and there depending on various factors.
