Interchangeability of brake rotors/calipers

Hello all
I'm a happy 991 Carrera owner. I have found that the stock brakes are not holding up to track days. My front AND rear rotors are warping and my pads are disintegrating - time for an upgrade.

I drive the car around the parking lot after a solid 20 minute session to let the brakes cool. Transfer of material isn't a problem.

What's the best way to approach this problem? I have looked at some Brembo setups online and they're very pricey, and I still don't know if it's a simple bolt on setup.

What do you think?

Check out Girodisc. They are slotted instead of drilled which gives them better durability. The fronts are 10mm larger and 3 lbs lighter. There is an extender that allows for the extra rotor clearance. They are cheaper than a full brake upgrade kit. These rotors with a more aggressive track pad work really well. I have them a they have proven to be more durable than the stock.

Hello Marc,
Thanks for your response. Do you know if there's a simple bolt on setup for rotors bigger than 350mm? I would prefer to go bigger if possible, as long as it's a fairly easy upgrade.

I have no idea but I would doubt it. The 10mm is pretty significant. Not to mention the change from drilled to slotted and the change in material.

Suncoast sells a kit to upgrade to S brakes up front. Think it's around 2 grand. I'm waiting to see if they come out with a similar kit for 991.2 rotors, which are 2 piece.

Here is an upgrade if you already have S brakes.

I would start by simply upgrading to a track pad.
