I'm in the market ready to fulfill a long time goal. Found this 991 in Omaha; it's the closest dealer to Des Moines and I'm looking for some advice.

It's listed for $72750 being sold as-is, although they said they would sell it as CPO for an additional 6-7k. I'm looking to trade a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport.
They have come from an overall trade difference of 43750 to 39878 without any real effort. I was targeting a difference of roughly 35500; about 33k for my trade and 68500 for the 991. I know I won't get there.
Forgetting about trade value - what would you consider a fair price for this 991, and would you even consider it being sold without any warranty at all? What should I look for in an inspection?
Thanks,
Tom

Granted - not everyone like a drop top and that one is a hell of a deal but the one you posted is a ~65K car IMO...

Consult NADAguides.com for sure. Do not get reamed on CPO. For example, CPO really only adds about $3500...any more than that and they are making a profit on you. Just remember.

Also my 0.02- I had a 2012 991 S Launch vehicle with PDK in platinum silver metallic and that color was very low maintenance. Black is high maintenance, just a reminder. Things I enjoyed on my 991S:
PDCC
PDK
sport exhaust
18-way adaptive seats
Would have preferred the full leather interior! It had std interior and it was just OK.
Many dealerships will ship to you. You may want to consider a GTS!!

Hi tdiddy

I was where you at about couple months ago, however, my search before i pulled the trigger was about 6 months into it. like a forum member said, be patient about buying these, this is whole different arena from what I'm used to (BMW universe).

i got to admit, hard to know what you want if you don't know all the features, I've learn lots of things by readying the 911.1 discussion, and knowingly I don't want a race car on road, just a sport car, that would help as main index to go, as for the CPO, that would be a good priority to have, not a must, but a plus.

anyways...good luck, this Pcar has brought me lots of joy and positive energy, and I do look forward more come in coming years.
Hole in roof
Dont buy one with a hole in the roof
Get the S
Get the 7 speed
Get sport chrono
Get sunroof delete
get low mileage or pay a lot less. These cars are pretty robust, The difference of one between 20K miles and 40 miles is not a lot.
Get a PPI
Get a paint meter reading
Get an over rev report
Buy a fidelity platinum warranty over CPO
Look at it in person before handing over the check (even if it cost 500$ for a flight)
Understand a Porsche dealer selling a used car is the same as the lot on the side of the highway.
I have had 4 and this is my best advice.
