You got a great price, I heard back from Mossy Motors, their price is pretty good. but not as good as yours.
If possible call Troy before warranty runs out next tuesday. I just put a 7/70 on my 14 TT with 19k on it for $4403.

I sorta feel the same way, but if the PDK or the engine got any issues that will cost quite a bit. I feel better safe then sorry.

Porsche's break quite often. Funny I have an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio and it's been perfect and somehow I have great faith in it. I've had a few recent 911's....a 996, 997, and 991. All have needed things fixed though they don't get used that much.
Here's a data point if it helps you with your shopping:
The local dealer f*cked up royally repairing my 2015 911 GTS cab. I mean horrible mistakes. I told them I would lay it all out for the public to see. I them offered to keepmy mouth shut if I got the Fidelity warranty at cost. And I suspect they did.
2015 911 GTS w/ 9800 miles. Bought an 8 year/80K (extends factory 4 years) Platinum warranty with a $100 deductable for $2878. That equates to a 42% margin. They may have padded for the credit card fees, so that would mean a margin of 45%.
To a car dealer that makes sometimes only their holdback on a car sale you can see how adding a couple thousand profit dollars to the sale is attractive.

Not everyone is that lucky.Just the instrument cluster on a Panamera center counsel would cost close to that in replacement and labor. Lucky me I actually bought ext warranty or else I would have been screwed.

It's what my Porsche dealership was selling where I got my 911.1 from and I wouldn't buy or service my current or future cars were I had issues on my Panamera ever again.

!!! CORRECTION !!!
I got the warranty documents today. It appears that when you buy a Fidelity warranty the period is not from the date the car was first registered. It's the contract date. So my car is a 2015 911 GTS Cab, with 9800 miles. It has 8 months of factory warranty left. I bought an 8 year 80k mile Platinum warranty with $100 deductable that will expire September 2026 for $2878 which is supposed to be dealer cost. For me it's a no-brainer. The car will be over 11 years old then.

My 991.1 has had many, expensive problems starting around 55k miles (I'm at 66k now). Luckily I have 7/100 mechanical breakdown insurance through GEICO. If you drive a car this mechanically/electronically complicated past warranty, you are rolling the dice.
