Service for 2014 C2S Manual

Due to serious illnesses and the pandemic, I only have 10,400 miles on my 2014 Carrera S Coupe. The dealer has been kind since I have been very ill. Due to low mileage only recommended oil and cabin filter changes at year 7.

According to the book I should also replace plugs, PDCC reservoir and brake fluid again. PDCC service and brake fluid are a no brainer and will be requested. However, would you replace plugs after eight years at only 10,400 miles???

PS It runs perfectly and never tracked.

Thank you for the consult...

The only reason they tell you to replace the plugs is to prevent them from seizing and potentially snapping off when you eventually replace them.
It's a relatively easy and routine job.

OK so time to get car in for annual service came up and I took all your advice folks. Did all fluids, filters, plugs, belt, BUT dealer can't do the PDCC reservoir because the part i not available in the US or Germany. He said they should have one by next year's service. Car is 8 years old and PDCC should have been done at 6 years. Not sure how big a deal it is?

What do you mean by "can't do the PDCC reservoir"?

They can’t “do it” because the scheduled maintenance calls for replacing the PDCC Reservoir which is full of fluid which is NOT available anywhere. This includes both US and Germany.

I spoke with the dealer this am and since the vehicle has just a little over 10,000 miles the mechanic who I trust said it can wait without causing harm.

The dealer said due to COVID they are backlogged on parts such as this and some turbo plugs.

Spoiler

I replaced my plugs and brake fluid. PDCC service, plugs, belt and both filters plus wiper blades. Car has 10.400 miles. Drove it a few times and everything was fine. Today when car was cold and air was cold as well I heard a ticking noise standing outside on right side. Drove it hard for 10 miles and the sound went away.

Should I get it back to the dealer or just forget it? Usually I don't chase sounds, they turn into a "fishing trip".

PS, New plugs made a big difference. When I accelerate using same amount of throttle, I get pushed back into seat with much greater force. It is like different beast now....
