Here's the question: who in So Cal can I trust to give this car a thorough check to tell me if it has any issues and what I might need to do in the next few years. Specifically, I want to check the engine, tranny, and clutch.

Best $$$ you can spend is on a full PPI at a shop like Herg's; include a compression and leakdown.

 

Do any of you guys have a person at Hergs that you recommend? I'd like to tell him/her that I'm going there at your recommendation. Also, how much should I expect to pay for a PPI?

OC is a ways from Sherman Oaks, Callas Rennsport in Torrance is a little closer.

KIka - thanks for your responses in both threads. The car is nowhere near Sherman Oaks, so it will be a drive, regardless.

 

If that is the case, Lomita 911 is where I have my car serviced, Derek will also do a PPI.
