1995 993 Carrera

I just recently purchased a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera that has 70,000 miles on it. It is in mint condition and it drives great. I paid $35,000 CDN for it. Just wondering if I got a good deal on it?

If you are happy, then it was a good deal.

not bad, but did you do your research, usually it takes awhile to find a good deal, dont jump on the first thing you feel is a good deal, because usually a month or 2 later you will say "why didnt i wait"

Of course I am happy with my 993! I have been wanting one for years. I found that the going price for this model to be in the low to mid 30's. I bought it in really good condition, I just want to make some minor upgrades to it. Possibly paint the brake calibers red, I've seen some pictures on this forum of guys that did that to their 993's and it looks great! Any ideas of how I can do this or if I should bring it to the shop for that?

+1 The deal is in the eye of the beholder. I may of overpaid for cars in the past but at the end of the day i have never had any regrets.

Either way go for a drive and I am sure the price is forgotten very quickly.

That's true. I love it. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many 1995 993 coupes were produced? Finding my car was difficult, I looked everywhere. Are they rare to find?

Thanks. 68,000 built in 5 years. So i guess for 1995 models, 13,600 were built. Not bad. I'm sure these cars will only increase in value, assuming if they are kept in mint condition.

I had a 95 993 Polar Silver (see avatar) and let me tell you I wish I never sold it. Purchased in 05 for $35K and sold in 07 for $36K! how is that for added value!

After i bought my 96 Targa i started updating & changing things, and i've been upgrading it more and more over the years. Some things i do myself, other things i bring it in to get done (i'm not that handy)

I just finished replacing the interior carpets and re-dye the leather and now the car looks new

If you looking for places to get things and even get them done pm me, i can share some of my experiences over the past couple years (good & bad), i'm in the GTA as well
