2005 Turbo S Cab. - What's it worth?
Hey guys. A friend of mine is looking at a 2005 Turbo S Cab, triple black, 10,000 miles, full leather, some carbon interior pieces, Bose stereo, Nav.
Original MSRP $149k.
What's this car worth? I didn't even know a ballpark to give him.
Thanks in advance, Russ

For what it's worth, I found seven similar cars on eBay, as follows:
Grey, $98k OBO
Black $99k start, with reserve higher
Grey $103k OBO
Black $101k start with reserve higher
Silver $105k start / $125k Buy-It-Now
Red $109k OBO
Black $110k start with reserve higher
None of these appear to be trading in this range, although I just looked for the first time. But when there's only seven 2005 turbo s cabs listed, and all in this price range, are they really this rare and valuable?

Thanks. A friend of mine is looking at one that's at a dealer, and he's not going to try and find one at auction, so I'm trying to find out what these cars are going for at retail. I should have specified that, sorry.
that is a completely worthless figure w/o knowing much about the car. first, there aren't *that* many 2005 cabs rolling through the auction. second, unless you've seen the car yourself, you have no idea what was wrong it (prior accident, hole in the roof, dents, etc.)
if you can find a proper 05 cab at the auction for $70k w/ 10k miles, you should be buying every last one and flipping it on ebay for $85k... and make a killing.

I go to the auctions regularly with my dealer friend mostly to the one in Riverside, CA The Highlines. Believe it or not I probably looked at 15 of them that showed up in Riverside within last 9 months. Most did not get sold because did not meet the minumum. The ones they were able to sell were really beat up, damaged, or non running cars. If you asked me they were pretty much worthless with my money. Three of them got there on a flat bed one with rear right corner missing I don't know why and sold for high 50s. the other two body looked OK not perfect like I would buy just OK, but they were not running, again I dont know why. The auction records showed these transaction the next day as avarage condition cars. After hunting at the auctions about 4 months I did not see a single 05 Turbo S worth buying. So, I decided to spend a little more and get a car that has not been to the auction which I made sure before I bought mine from a dealership in Downtown LA. So do not get fooled with the numbers at the auctions, they do not mean anything unles you want to gamble with your money. Just do a nationwide search on Auto Trader you will get an idea about how much people are asking for their cars, this will be a better indicator. If mom and pop dealers were able to get these cars the good ones at the auctions for 70K you would see plenty of them available around $75K-$80K instead of just a few of them all above $100K. I hope that makes sense...
Yup, well said!
