Cool Re-surfacing rotors?

Doing my first brake change on the TT and wanted to know pros/cons of resurfacing factory rotor. Left rear rotor has been grooved do to neglegence on my part. Bought the car with low brakes and got cought far from home one day and rotors have bes marked. Can this be done safely to factory rotors? Aside from buying new rotors, what are the best alternatives? Installing Mintex red pads if it makes a difference.

Also wanted to know difficulty level in removing rotors. Is it just the hex screws are is there more involved?

They are cross drilled and can't be resurfaced like a normal rotor. (well some shops say they can, and will do it). but it is not recommended. Just buy new rotors

did this once to rotors that were warped/grooved and the results were horrible.
i dont know if it has to do with the fact that my rotors were really bad to beginwith.

did it since i had to go to the track the next day and as a last option since nothing else was available.

purchased new rotors right after.

Dealership told me rotors had to be replaced and could not be reused, one time use only.

In my exp. even if you could turn a cross drilled rotor which isn't recomended, once a rotor is warped by turning it true, you wind up removing so much material that the rotor is incredibly more prone to warping. As said before spring for new rotors.
