Heavy -

Thanks for rubbing it in

Maybe when the kids get out of school I'll look into relocation. BIR is 2 hrs and Road America is just over 6 hours. That is the two closest tracks. Granted Road America is one of the best in the country.

Don't mean to rub it in, I didn't really want to stay here for a long time after getting married, but I just can't figure pulling myself from the sound of cars going around
Road Atlanta on the weekends from my balcony.

Holy moly, your car traps 134 mph in the 1/4 mile? That's insane power!

I know you weren't rubbing it in - just good fun.

The car is running well. I trapped the 134 in Houston back in March at TX2K9.

I won't make it back to VIR this year but I will be back out next year with fresh tires this time. I am hoping to get down to Road Atlanta next year also.

Ian Stewart 1:59.727
Porsche 996GT2 with a few Mods HEE HEE
Hoosier Radial Slicks
Fastest UTCC car with full interior/AC/Cruise is our claim to fame

This was Ian's 1st time @ VIR and we probably should have run A6's instead of the Slicks as we only got 1 flyer each session before running into back markers.

Did a couple of track days at MSR Houston this weekend, clockwise (same format as TX2K9), variable weather, poured on Sunday with some dry sessions for good measure. I have the Traqmate data to verify.

1:46.2

Running 93 pump gas, MPSC's on OEM rims, PFC97 pads, Switzer L1 on X50, H&R springs and GMG sways. That time was with a passenger.

Not too shabby for a non-stripped down daily driver. I'll get a weight on the car sooner or later but it will be close to stock.

Sub 2's at VIR full course is very impressive. 996 Cups run 158-200. 997 Cups run 155-158. TPC had a monster their last June that ran a 153 if I remember right.

That is a great time in a GT2 - I am not ready to drive mine that hard yet.

I have ran 2:08 on crappy VRL scrubs in the Z06 last June. I'm going to give it another shot in late June this year. I'm bringing fresh tires this time.

Will you be going to the zone 2 de/club race?? Rumble at the oak tree event? If so i'll see you there, always a great time with zone 2!

And yea, I burnt out my R888's IN A SESSION They were prob 75 % done too but it was so hot and the pressure got so erratic with my driving/heat that they wore so unevenly just within 10 laps, but I was moving until then I was drifting all over LOL...

Just came across this thread. Definitely have some times to add...

Cat Dog, our shop race car does VIR in 52-54...

Video is here towards the bottom.
http://www.tpcracing.net/videos/tpcracing-videos/

Grassroots invited us to the UTCC this year... Taking Cat Dog, our 775 Blitzkrieg car(2:00 on R6s, 2:03 in the latest excellence on 888s), and our soon to be turbo boxster spyder)...

Should be fun!
