Lap Times Thread
2:05 this past weekend at VIR, Traqmate and on Hoosiers... Brother said he got me at a 2:04 but this was by hand, best was a 2:12 on the toyos with me sliding around every corner, swapped to hoosiers picked up 7 seconds.. I'll post video footage soon, even though my gopro camera is a POS with video quality/sound and framing :/
2:37 at Monticello full course, on Toyo R888's

It will be interesting to see what Ian does @ the UTCC on Hoosier slicks. He has 0 laps @ VIR. Peter
MN guys at VIR with Alex Job Racing (AJR)
I also was at VIR thurs-monday and our MN boys faired quite well;
Pat Kelly/Steve Washburn, Rick Polk/Mark Steingas.
I have all qualifying, and race sheets in my car. Lots of great cars there.
My buddy Pat Kelly turned a 1:56.2 in Qualy (997 GT3), and my buddy Rick Polk
turned a 1:57 flat. Both cars finished 44 laps in the 90 minute enduro. (You can do the math...

If you ran a 2:05 at VIR, you are a demigod, that is very good!

Sebring 2:14.9
Sebring Vid on Slicks. Traqmate wasn't working and video camera ran out of memory on the 2nd lap but this was the first full lap on slicks. I've never driven on a full slick before and we've got some sorting to do on the handling. It was VERY VERY hot and greasy that day. Compartitively in the one lap we did a 2:18 on PS2 street tires, we were a couple seconds back on this day on the same street tires due to track conditions. We put the slicks on to get an idea on the handling and a quick heat cycle. Wish I had more laps and better conditions, I know this puppy could crack a 12... maybe even an 11. Video from the following laps wouldn't matter anyway I had traffic. By the Video when I did the editing this was a 2:14.9 but who knows how accurate that is.

Yea 2:05 and a 2:04 by hand which doesn't hold much validity... Was a very good 2 sessions on those hoosiers then we left early Sunday as the next session was like 5 hours later :/ Demigod? Don't know about all of that, I would say Matt Callahan (930man) running his 2 flat in his GT2 was unreal lol

How can I upload my videos and retain decent quality? I have the Gopro video cam and quality already suffers, files are 800+ meg's, suggestions?

Marty too bad we didn't get to meet, obviously didn't know you would be there, you might have seen a pretty "big" dude though walking around in a black tank top, was hot as hell but people were giving me weird stares LOL :/

Nice Ian, what video camera setup is that??

how come this guys camera doesn't have the same wind buffeting that a lot of people's do? Seperate Mic? BTW, this guy has a great car, you can tell he's probably a fast lapper, but I think he needs some work on playing with other people. Some people are fast, but not fast around slower cars
Comes back to haunt him too and spins it.

Ran VIR Mon/Tues with Corvette and Wed/Thurs with Chin. I was also there Sat/Sun hanging out with the cup car guys from MN running with Alex Job Racing. It is amazing to see guys turn 1:58 lap after lap in the cup cars.
I was able to run a 2:08.3 on Hoosier VRL's (scrubs from a Viper team) - timed on a driftbox.

Eric,
that is awesome! I knew you had a 2:08 in you, nice job.
I want to meet (and hire) 930 man: He ran a 2 flat at VIR in a 996 GT2 street car????
What is his set-up (ie, motons, tires, suspension setting, etc)
WOW !!
