I have a simple and straight forward question
I think some this info may be the respective companies' "trade secrets".
I may be naive, but I doubt the files are all that different from company to company. The engines still have to operate within acceptable guidelines of spark timing and A/F ratios. Is it possible to push the envelope a bit in terms of timing and A/F mixture? probably.

There are literally thousands of different ways to produces a safe running ecu calibration file.....some ways are considerably better then others.
There are only two Tuners that make the software that flashes a Porsche over the OBDII port and tune, Softronic and REVO. Only one out of the two allow other companies to use their service , Softronic. All the Softronic files are Softronics. Softronic works with most of the Tuners in one fashion or another on this board. This would include providing technical information, flashing technologies and other binary related questions etc.
Add a 3rd....I flash over OBD with my own tools.
OK, sorry , perhaps I should have said read and write the 5.2 - 7.8.4 DME's over the OBD2 port in which Softronic is the only company. Softronic also has a full diagnostic tool and data logger.
Revo does partial read and full write of the Porsche 7.8 DME's
Revo does partial read and full write of the Porsche 7.8 DME's
Fair enough... Only writing 7.8 here =).
For anyone interested, here is an example of how Softronic and Protomotive are working together for my tuning.
I will be adding the protomotive intake to my car next month. This will place the MAF just before the throttle body, monitoring charged air, as opposed to just after the intake filter monitoring fresh air. The car will require a new tune. I will be installing the pipes myself and Todd K suggested that I buy the durametric software and cable, then contact Scott at Softronic to activate the Durametric cable. This will allow Todd to send me the proper file for the new intake system that I will be installing via email and upload it to my ECU. One it is loaded, I am to drive the car, datalog it with the Durametric and send the file back to Todd. Todd will review it, make any changes required to optimize the file and email back the revised version to overwrite the base file. This can go on as many times as neccessary to get things perfect.
I have already contacted Scott and he helped me activate the Durametric cable a few weeks ago...Now, I just need to get the pipes on, re-fab the IC's, etc. and I'll give it a try.

You cant, the files are all encrypted. There is data and security checks that prevent the files to be used on any other car except for the one it was sent to.
You make many strange statements without any reason. Do you know of such a code? What if EVC has such a code? Perhaps you are secretly being watched also.
Hmmm
Ok first of all, 6speed is not the only place that fast Porsches reside, so using the 60-130 list and 1/4 thread as a guage for anything is off base. Yes it is likely true that the cars represented there are SOME of the fastest Porsches out there, but unless it can be UNDOUBTEDLY prooved otherwise, it's a marketing slogan.
Secondly, does it say Porsche Turbos? Or just Porsches? What if it's 996's, 997's, caymans, boxsters, cayenne's or what have you. You see, there is no way to put a finger on anything, and the more you broaden your pattern of thought, the more you see that the 60-130 list isnt good enough to make that statement invalid.
Next, fastest is a relative term and can apply to MANY different aspects. It could be fastest in 60-0 braking, 0-60, slalom, auto-x drag racing, road course. Any ONE of those could make it an accurate statement, and if you are willing to really dig deep and investigate, you'll have to do them all, good luck proving that one. That's what slogans are, something incredible that you couldnt prove otherwise if you wanted to.
And lastly, what is the point of this thread again? I am not a Vivid fanboy, havent bought anything from them, but scrutinizing someone over a slogan based on a thread is unjust, and all simply based on Power at that. If Ruf had the same slogan would you argue? While the GT700's and PE700's could run them down easily on the drag strip, put them on the road course and see what an R turbo does to those same 700-900 hp cars. There is more to speed than who makes the most power and runs the fastest 1/4 mile. This thread should be closed locked and deleted. PERIOD.

I wasn't going to post on this thread, and god knows if I would have made it through without dry heaving at the bs every few seconds.
Dez you throw a twist to the whole game, and I completely agree, to make 6speeds list of numbers a rule of thumb is simply comical.
