back in

just traded my z06 for 01 tt with tubi and pss9s...had 02tt brand new and modded...just wondering what is the ideal ECU upgrade these days? I used to have FVD ECU, tubi, headers, diff intercoolers and turbos...now I just want to keep simple with inital ECU upgrade so I can get some perfromance out of the car.

Thanks in advance!

Ultimate Motorwerks flash ... it gave me the most "umph" on my car ... not to mention, you DO NOT have to send out your ECU, he does it by OBDII port ... and you have an upgrade path ... in case you want more power in the future ... call Kevin at UMW ...

You mean they use Evoms... where Evoms has a network of dealers ...
With that said- there are many good programs out there... most of which are sponsors on this board...

I had GIAC on my X50 ... IMHO, my butt dyno felt that the UMW flash generated more torque (of course this was while waiting for my ZC turbos ... talk about customer service!!)

It is to my understanding that you have to be physically in the GIAC dealer and get your car flashed.

Unlike UWM, everything is done at the comfort of your own home ... or garage

Just my $0.02 ...

Actually EVOMS uses GIAC for the ECU programming portion of their upgrades as do a few other tuning companies.

I'm partial to EPL. Their flash gave me a before & after dyno confirmed 80hp and 100tq increase at the wheels at a very conservative 1 bar.

I' went with Todd @ Protomotive for the tune(through Titan) and itwas quick, easy and well received. EPL has also had some great discussions with me about 996 tuning so I wouldn't shy away from his services as well.
