passenger side window possessed?
passenger side window possessed?
i tried the search and got something similar but not exact. i was hoping someone else has seen this problem. upon turning off the car and going to the passenger side to get some folders off the seat, opened the passenger door and the window goes down automatically. this happened a few times in the past and i thought nothing about, (must be a convenience feature???) so i return to the drivers side, put the passenger window up and go back to the passenger side to get my folders, open the door and the window goes down all the way again. damn it, sob, and some other choice expletives go flying. i checked the owners manual, nothing there to disable a convenience feature like this so i am guessing it must be a malfunction of some sort. the car runs perfectly otherwise, no problem starting after 3-4 days of sitting, no other wierd electrical issues. any input would be appreciated.
Check the little booklet that came with your car...it's the CPO booklet in your leather owners manual folder...that should tell you what's covered....almost everythign that's gone wrong with my car under CPO was a "wear item" and not covered.
Window regulator, not cover under CPO... A friend (jimq at rennlist) recently had that replaced in his car...

Not laughing at the situation, but your explanation and reaction is classic, I was laughing when I read the topic.
it was pretty frustrating>>>>
and pretty funny nontheless, good thing my wife didnt see it. i would never hear the end of it.........."you look like the dog circling her bed before she lays down" in a high pitched kinda tone!!!!!
interesting idea with the weak battery, i have no other symptoms of a weak battery, but i also noticed that my ignition switch can be "notchy" sometimes as i am withdrawing the key. the car is at the dealer now, we'll see what they come up with.
thanks for the input, guys.

is there such a sensor???>>>
i am guessing it would be inside the door handle mechanism somewhere. any pointers on where it would be. i will also tell the dealer to take a look at this sensor too.
Did you try this... After replacing a window you have to do this step : Standardising the new power window motor
1. Switch on ignition.
2. Open door window completely by continuously actuating the power window operating button,
and then close window. Press power window button until the window is closed and is switched off
by the blockage detection function of the power window motor. Standardisation is then
completed.
