Talking TechArt Type II Front Bumper

As some of you know I had some issues with my front bumper fitting correctly. TechArt saw photos of it and stated that they knew that they had some problems and were making a new mold. They did not want to send me a bumper out of stock since they wanted to be 100% sure the new one was okay. I was in email contact with techArt every few months. So I was not worried about getting one.

Well 8 months later.... It arrived!!!! I have not seen it yet, but the shop (GermanTech) told me that it is made out of different material... We will see...

At least it is here... A long wait... It was fun not caring about rock chips since I knew it was being replaced... I am going to have a clear bra custom cut for it this time...

Gary,

I would be interested in hearing about the new material. Tell Joe at German Tech that Chad said hi.

Joe is the one who sold me the first Techart II front bumper in North America. Even CC Wheels was shocked when I had one on my car before their Grand Opening.

I think the new one is what? USA Today and Elmers? They went hightech this time. The local papers just weren't cutting it.

hey gary, i had the same problem with techart, they are currently replacing the manufacturer who does most of they're inventory. im waiting for some black alloy exhaust tips to arrive, but i just got my type 2 bumper, the only problem i have is that the carbon fiber lip is scraping the ground.

The carbon fiber chin spoilers are a pain to keep in one piece. I'm on my second one. I installed my first before our 1st annual Bay Area Run and after that initial run, it was already "slightly" damaged.

They do look extremely cool though
