Failure Spoiler Control
Failure Spoiler Control
I have recently started to get this warning light several seconds after the wing has extended.
I read the other threads related to spoiler problems but the difference with mine is it is functioning properly. It extends and retracts itself normally and I'm not really interested in a bypass fix.
Does anyone know if there is a microswitch or something that could have gone bad and the car thinks the spoiler hasn't come up when it actually has?
Any help appreciated.

This may not be your issue, but I had a similar problem that eventually led to the spoiler not deploying at all. Porsche sells the entire assembly, not any of the individual parts, so I ended up with a $900+ part.
Now for the killer... After I had it replaced, I took the old one apart and here's what I found: In the long metal can bolted under the lid, there's an electric motor that drives a worm gear that in turn moves the fluid to deploy the spoiler. The motor has a sort of a screwdriver blade-shaped thing on the end of the armature that fits into the worm gear. It's held onto the armature with a set screw. The set screw was loose, allowing the motor to turn without moving the spoiler.
One clue is that you can hear the motor turn but the spoiler stays put.
Good luck!

Sounds similar to mine. Using the switch it goes up and down fine. I've been told to swap the micro switches. Have a look on renntech for the DIY.
There's 2 switches which are £25 each. Got a trackday in 2 weeks so going to fix it after that.
I'll let u know how I got on
