not seeing enough boost... .6 Bar max :(
not seeing enough boost... .6 Bar max :(
So finally after getting my CEL and ABS/PSM lights to stop (replaced MAF and wiring harness), my car was running good with no codes for a few days.
Today I run to the bank and hit it hard in 2nd and it pulls just as strong as ever, but didn't check the stock boost guage.
I leave to go home and hammer it again and it feels much much weaker. I switch over to check the boost and hit it again it tops out at .6 Bar in 2nd gear a couple times I tried it.
I did some searches but searching for "low boost" and such didn't net me much for results.
What are you guys thinking?
Blown MAF already? (installed new one on Wed)
Boost leak?
??
After running flawlessly for 5 months and 8k miles, this thing sure has been giving me fits lately.
thanks

Ha. I probably will talk to him on Friday when I go down there for some suspension stuff, but I wanted to see if there is anything I can do now or at least get an understanding of what I am dealing with or troubleshooting.
disconnect the battery for 10 minutes....
try it again...
try it again...

If it is MAF, in first gear it will sputter around 4000-5000rpm, the car will not pull hard. Having low boost is not MAF related. Disconnect the MAF and try it again. Possible: boost leak, hoses?? I have disconnected my MAF on my stage IV before with no problems. I am sure Mark will give his blessing too.
Markski saves the day again. I just hit 1.0 Bar that I saw. I have hit 1.1-1.2 before so maybe I just didn't see it. But that sure fixed it.
So.... how the hell did that fix it is what I wanna know... ??
thanks!

That happened to me the other day in 20 degrees where it would go past .6 . Its the first time thats happened but it felt normal. Is that normal? I was thinking it was because it was freezing out maybe??? Markski? anyone?
when it gets cold the boost goes up so u probably overboosted and the ecu pulled back... and maybe went into limp mode.... it may happen again...
anyone using aftermarket WG springs? if so it can happen more often...
