Yeah but I bet he has them memorized, and especially the 60-130 times. That's one bad motor scooter, little bluey, that would shame the 9ff if given the chance. Too bad we'll never see any times.

Boost.

He and Mark's cars were dynoed at 1.9 BAR+. Mine was dynoed at 1.6. You see an app. increase of 35 rwhp for each 1/10th of BAR increase with GT35's on modified engines. Especially on a 3.8L. Add cooler weather to the equation, and there you go.

I haven't seen the dyno sheets either, but Todd has no reason to lie to me. I believe the numbers.

Yep. You're correct, Joe.

I have been there... seen it and done it... more then once....
as far as Craig's post... Craig, if you look at the video of my car it has been running witout the rear wing long before 9FF.. LOL
My car is 100% right now... finally after 3 years..... mostly due to Bobby's hardcore experience...
I have bigger and better plans....
for now, the 9ff is faster then mine in 1/4... mind you Im up against a company that makes cars go fast for a living.... but all that will change very soon.
markski

ps. I have a feeling that others are having a hard time doing fast 60 to 130s... its all in the details... and unless you can wrench on ur own and make minor adjustmenst you will have a hell of a time doing it....

Mark,

All due respect, but I really can't bite my tongue any longer. You don't even drive your own damn car!

Seriously. You're the last guy that should telling be people things like; "I've seen it and done it", in regards to running a 9-second 1/4 mile...when in fact, you have not done it at all. Bobby did.

Or things like; "it's all in the details", IRT 60-130 runs when again, Bobby ran those times. Not you.

Your consistent failure to correct people when they congratulate you in posts for your (i.e., Bobby's) runs is not complimentary to your character.

The facts are simple; while it is you that owns the car, and you that spends the money, Bobby ultimately is the one that has set the records and made your car famous.

So please stop lying by omission. You should be giving Bobby credit each and every time you post about your car running a fast time. Truth be told, the words "with Bobby driving" should probably be listed in your signature and on the 1/4 mile/60-130 list as well.

Or (and I realize that this is a completely imcomprehensible and crazy idea)...you could actually drive your own car and set your own records! That would definitely be a change for the better.

Scott

1.6 bar puts the GT35R at the bottom of the second turbo map efficiency ring. 1.9 bar would put the GT35R at the bottom of the first efficiency ring. 2.4 bar would max out the GT35R. That is assuming the heads, valves, cams and displacement all have enough capacity to flow those turbo's to that point.

You also need to bear in mind, for top efficiency, the turbo manufacturer, Garrett, recommends a minimum displacement of 2.0L per turbo for these GT35R's.

With that being said ........... all the above cars are silly fast for the street.

That's what I'm talking about!

Are you looking to drag race? If so incorporating some kind of launch control would be great for spool.

My car was dynod at 22 and peaking 24 psi... I never ran my car past 1.65 bars.. EVER...
The reason it picked up HP is becasue it was finally done right.... I mean issues were addressed that existed for a few years....

Unless Todd did something to my car that Im not aware of on the dyno, I have his email and it states this:
"I ran it up to 25psi indicated on the dyno, even though your greddy
indicated 1.78-1.8 bar peak. It hits 22-23psi in the midrange and climbs 2
psi on top.
The best power was made at 22psi climbing to 24psi, best torque made at 23psi."

best,
Mark

I recall Rob saying he made that power at 1.6bar?

Just two brief random points on this subject:

1. Regarding Euro-tuners, don't believe that many of them couldn't build a drag car if they wanted to, but be aware that drag-racing is almost non-existent in most of Europe. For example, there are 2 1/4mile strips in the UK, that only open for half the year and one opens to the public only 6 weekends of the year (and it's often wet on some of those, so they get cancelled!). In comparison there are about 20 full-size racing circuits, offering over a thousand public track-days a year in aggregate.

2. Unless someone is willing to post verified details of performance like dynos, GPS top speeds, drag strip timeslips or Vbox times etc then any claims are just that 'claims' - and have the validity of the stuff found on Automotive Forums where everyone owns an 8sec Skyline etc.....

It isn't being built for anything other reason than to take it out an hour or so on Sunday's when the weather is good. The suspension/running gear is set up for the twisties and occassional track outings ...... not drag racing. It will probably do most things reasonably well ............. not exceeding at any one thing in particular.

Scott,
I had my car twice in 3 years....and you should know that as well... especially since you know more about how much boost my car did on the dyno then I.
And both times I had it the car it was messed up... once with a broken clutch and another with a failed turbo and a massive boost leak... how did you expect me to run my car?
I am keeping a lot of info OFFline not to hurt anyone... but trust me if my car was where it should have been the first time liek URS.... I would be able to show u some numbers...
Thanks to Bobby my car is NOW 100%- all that after 3 years and an extra $40K in bills...
Hence, I still do not have the car....
I think your missing the point... this has been a long Journey for me... very long.... I never gave up.... yet all you have to say is that I didint drive my car....
thank you for the kind words,
Mark
