Clutch Pedal Stuck

Hey Guys,

Left for a drive this morning and got about 2 blocks from the house, and the I had trouble getting into 1st gear, and then 2nd, and then i stopped at my local target. Bad Decision, turned off the car and the clutch pedal stayed on the floor. i reached down to see if I could pull it back up, and I was able to, but now I can;t push it in at all. I could smell something, but didn;t see anything on the ground as far as fluid goes.

Does anyone have any thoughts about what it could be?

Thanks Guys,

Most likely Clutch slave! Same thing happened to me. I had to towed it to a shop. Luckily, I was having a new clutch installed at that time also so I was saving a lot of money on labor.
Hope this help.
Good luck!

Slave Cylinder is like ~$150, you can get them from Suncoast. Labor is probably 2 hours??? I have a friend who did it himself, so we may need to do the same thing w/ my car. G/L and post up what the final verdict was.

Sorry about that but the slave cost $441.50 and it take about 3 to four hours to replaced. slave part # 996 116 237 52 and you should get the accumulator at the same time which is about $125.00 996 314 166 00

fyi if it is a slave and you're doing it yourself, I hope you're not short, cause if you are its kind of a pain, trust me. I charged more than any of the above labor times though.

Well thanks for the info guys.

The bad news is already starting. Engine and tranny are being dropped today. Will probably know more tomorrow. I guess there are a few things that could be now, but I guess I should start thinking of parts I definitely need to replace while it's out.

By the way, THIS SUX!

Later,

Well! Well! I got the call today about the tranny, and the throwout bearing was trashed, along with pivot arm, and some burned up parts of the clutch assembly. $5000 Yikes!!!

Anyone have some suggestions on what to put in it? I would like to not have this issue again, and I don't track my car. My driving style is street spirited.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
